Ok, for anyone getting the message, " Unable to authorize
the listed DLC Please log into Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC Lair
Of the Shadow Broker
, I have mine working now. What I think happened to mine, and may have to others, is that the initial download, which was a bad file, counted as the purchase. Bioware/EA had to replace that bad file, but that wasn't the same purchase event, but it still was listed on the DLC page along with all of the other content. When I kept impressing upon the various techs during the chats (this after after two days of chats) that this may have been the issue, a tech, deleted the file from my listings, then re-instated the LOTSB file again as (what I think is) another purchase and voila, it worked and I no longer get the unauthorized message when I start ME2.

Here's the main message I recieved by email this morning (I won't list the tech's name):

"I have deleted the old DLC for Shadow Broker from our systems and I have re-added the information to your account. You should now be able to sign into http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php and download the content. "

Hope this helps anyone with this issue.

I want to add that after getting this to work, I noticed all of my achievements in game were removed. At least it works and I finished it; what a story that was. I guess I can have fun getting the achievements again. ;-)

No, you dont need to contact Bioware, as you have not bothered reading anything on these forums.

Mass Effect 2 PC Technical Support (Spoilers Warning)

This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.

There could be any number of reasons why its not authorising, ranging from the servers just being busy (ME and ME2 were on sale ultra cheap, bringing in a horde of new purchases), to your AV/firewall software not being configured to allow the communications through.

There are a few different threads in this forum with a range of things to try. If you cant be bothered gouing through them, then contact EA directly.

According to your logic, If i had read anything on the forums, then i would need to contact Bioware.

As a fan of Mass Effect 2 (PC), I thought i could ask another fan for assistance (a question), since he has had the same problem i have now,but apparently solved it. The DLC file does take me hours to download again and i wanted to clarify my understanding as to not waste time.

I am sorry if i have stirred agitated feelings, Blogsnot1. I'll correct myself for the future and not ask questions, like the one i have asked, blindly fixing in the dark, like learning from a textbook without any teacher.

Same problem, and I'm having trouble reaching techies. Or anyone and Bioware, for that matter. Still can't play the content I paid for, and can't get Cerberus Network to "authorize" LotSB that I bought off EA's website. Help would be very much appreciated. It worked for you, Tommy6860, any thoughts?

Ok,you log into the Cerberus network ingame at the second console on the main game page, you use the same email and password that you bought the dlc with, and what does it say?? Does it say you are online?? Have you tried redownloading the file after deleting it and clearing the cache and reinstalling the file??

My thoughts;  "me too" posts are rarely helpful.  As MCSupersport said, you've got to give us details.
Don't hold back; you're only hurting yourself.  Let it go...

Make sure the password you're using to log into the Cerberus Network doesn't contain any special characters either (%$^&* etc) or you won't be able to log in.
