Morrigan's actions in DAO left me with an overwhelming desire to gank her skanky ass the first opportunity i was provided with. She manupulates the warden into and out of bed as she sees fit, using her sex as a weapon and many a player fell victim to it. She has no understanding of duty, no sense of selflessness, she does not see people as other people only as something to be manupulated for her own ends, at least that is how i have read her up until Witch Hunt.
The whole point of witch hunt from Morrigan's perspective could just be nothing more than an elaborate escape attempt from a fight she started, a fight she can not win, nothing more than a convoluted plot to live another day.
But for now I will content myself that even as evil as i thought Morrigan to be, having been proven at this point to be incorrect, even having to dismiss her entirely twice now, Morrigan is gone at least for awhile and that is some reason to be satisfyied.

So you don't think she's evil anymore, you think she's a pathetic pawn trying to escape Flemeth's machinations? That might be true, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that you've been "proven at this point to be incorrect" about Morrigan.
I think the truth being honest, is that Witch Hunt is not really working correctly as far as the game recognizing what choices the wardens i played made has created a confusing mess. For most folks it might not be an issue some are new to the game, some only have a few characters, for me i have 20 spanning back 10 months or so. I have no idea in some cases what choices were made or motivations were used to drive some of these characters. With WH not seeming to recognize the choices some of these characters made this creates a wide open dialog tree with no narrowing based on the particular story arc, confusing to say the least.
This has become quite apparent after the 6 plays that even the most recient character whose motivations and choices i remember clearly, more so than some of the older characters I still wound up with a WTF is she talking about moment. I used a male human noble named "Me" as the example as he was the most recient character to finish the game up to WH and i know for a fact that Morrigan played a VERY minor role in the story. Cut at Lotharin, dark ritual refused, he did not romance any NPC except for Isabella and a few visits to the Pearl, yet somehow the game/Morrigan is convinced that Me has a child. Seriously a WTF moment.
It is because of this that for the most part i just made a save using Me just before the conversation takes place to run all the dialog trees. I was curious and since WH seemed to be gorked anyway i would follow the dialog trees as far as i could then reload and pick a different branch to investigate. Now i will ****** alot of people off here but the truth is i did call a massive swing in Morrigan's character. I had a feeling it was comming, now as to whether it was planned from the inception of the Morrigan character or as a reaction by the writers to the obviously hostile critique of the Morrigan character that i and a few others have been most vocal about for the last 10 months, i can not say. I will say that i am disappointed with the turn of the Morrigan character, i really relished the animosity she generated from me, i really believed she was an adversary worthy of the contempt. Such was the depth of my contempt that i would not ****** on her if she was on fire, but after WH i seem to be left with no other feeling than the obligitory pity pee.
At this point my only conclusion is that WH is really only relevant if the player chose to utalize the dark ritual. If the player as i normally do chooses to minimize Morrigan's participation in Origins by most importantly refusal of the dark ritual, or as i do total removal of her character by cutting her loose in Lotharin, WH is irrelevant. But the most important factor to remember is the "answers" we were given concerning Morrigan and Flemeth were provided only by Morrigan with no substantiation from an alternative source. I can see both sides of the argument lives or dies, but in order to safe guard the realm, to err on the side of caution probably both Flemeth and Morrigan should die as soon as possible. At this point though with the fact that i can not seem to get a reasonable story arc due to the wide open dialog tree, i am more confused than anything. Of the 6 plays i have tested 3 end with Morrigan's death and 3 end with her going through the portal. My feeling is that of the 3 plays where i killed her, i feel like i crushed the head of a helpless mewling kitten in my bare hands, a complete and total lack of satisfaction, definatly not the reaction i was hoping for. But letting her just walk through the portal to continue her plans, of which i know nothing about, will probably if there is a future incarnation of DA cost my warden dearly, and that is also not acceptable. I will say it is a very interesting "damed if I do and damed if I don't" feeling i have been left with.
