I'm just looking for some reassurance that Awakening's decisions will be saved.

I think i should make a post game save, after the autosave at the nest you beat the Mother and depending on your choices you learn that the Architect caused the lastest Blight. And how you react on that shoudl be saved....
First of all, I think you have a spoiler here....
As for answering your post, no. Since you can't go back and kill him, there's no reason to have a post-final boss save.

There are no more game-changing decisions to be made once you are at the Nest. I think you only want a save file so that you can reload and strip equipment from your companions - right?
No that's not the reason why, the reason is like i stated before is the decesion i make when hear the information that the Mother gives you

What decision is there left for you to make? Regardless of what the Mother tells you, are you going to spare her? Is that option even available? I think she attacks you no matter what you decide. Up to that point, you've already made the decision whether or not to spare the Architect.
The end result is the same: Mother is dead. No need for a save file to record that fact.

Do spoiler tags work here?

A final save is always a good idea when it is intended to be imported in another game. As it is now, technically I will not have killed Awakening's final boss in whatever game my save is about to be imported. The epilogue will not have displayed all the events and the destinies of my companions.
While it's not as bad as Witch Hunt's bug, it's still an unsatisfying issue. It's like my Warden is called to Amgarrak as a side quest before going back to killing Awakening's boss. (Not to mention that I receive a letter from Varel while we know it's impossible, if Awakening is finished...but that's unrelated to having a Final Save or our curent last save)
Anyway okay, I now know Awakening's final save is non existent, and that was my question

It is probably because as other posters have pointed out, there is no post-fight scene anymore where you make important decisions like Origins, and there is no more important decision that will be made in the conversation with The Mother.
Regardless of the conversation you have with The Mother, you will not have any more decisions to make. YOU WILL FIGHT AND KILL HER NO MATTER WHAT. Any information she tells you is going to be based on whether or not you killed The Architect, and probably other decisions you've made until that point, but when talking with the many-nippled monstrosity, you won't have to make any choice that will alter the world further. The only world-altering event left is The Commander of the Grey killing The Mother, and that's gonna happen regardless. When you talk with The Mother, you won't make any choice, and the outcome will always be the same, you fight and gank her good with the Grey Wardens' uber-utility dagger.
If decisions will be imported, then all those decisions will be reflected in the auto-save in The Nest before the fight. The game will probably just get those world altering decisions from that save, and just go on to assume you actually fought and killed The Mother.
Also, are there spoiler tags for these forums?
