The sad, simple understanding of what is to come as the general peers into the oncoming explosion hints otherwise to me. Not saying they'd succeed - merely that they'd try.SarKter wrote...
That's impossible. Collectors are like Husks at that point in the game. No brain, just living corpse. There are no living protheans confirmed anywhere, so the chance of this happening is small.

Why wouldn't have we seen or even heard of all those? Even Vorcha caused a small "Where did you come from?"
It's not hard to imagine Mass Effect wants to imply there are more alien species in the universe than they can actually put in game.
But they did what they did and can't undo that. Unless ME3 makes us run around outside the known world for lost civilisations they really can't add more.
Sure, I believe Bioware will add 1 or 2 just for the sake of having something new. Perhaps they will be something ignorable and explained like Vorcha though

If the plot demands it, the likelihood is 100%.

A mystic race, they are near to the extinction. Hominoid, but blind.
Their homeworld does not have a Sun. Maybe they are bounty hunter, or pirate... maybe....
But I like this idea
With no sun, how is their planet habitable at all?
Many lifeform exist without light... And dont forget! This is just a game... Anything possible

It's like a machine planet, run on dark energy. It's a massive computational system so vast in scope, it defies all characterization of what is and is not possible.javierabegazo wrote...

This is a weird thread. Dinosaurs? I don't think so.
No. Dinosaurs with guns.
And yet I still agree 100%. Seriously, Salarians are the closest we'll be getting.

However, It would be cool to have a space faring race found through a new relay much like humans. It always seems odd that humans are just as advanced or nearly so as the Citadel races before they both encountered each other. Prothean tech obviously responsible for this but it would be nice if a new race with prothean tech and FTL ships are introduced in3.

It's not set in stone as you might think. Mass Effect has never strongly asserted that these are all the races of the universe, but these are the most important in game and story.

Pacifien sure know how to make stories,"It's like a machine planet, run on dark energy" feels like I want to watch Star Wars right now!

It would be nice if they added more non-sapient creatures. The planets seem so empty without any animals.

Face+Palm.
It's an ogre from Dragon Age. That's called an "Easter Egg."

One thing I do want to see more of though is the Drell, maybe even a female Drell.
I agree. The lore Thane presented us with regarding the drell and their relationship with the hanar was interesting. I know they're supposed to be a rare species, but I'd like to be able to visit Khaje or even Rakhana in a DLC or in ME3.

I think Mass Effect has enough sentient species for now (since Bioware can still develop the Yahg and the Raloi) but it would be cool for me if a daily new announcement talked about how certain animals and plants from planet A are seriously f*cking up the ecosystem at planet B. I think about how when animals from China make it into the states how much hell gets raised. Now imagine from another planet!
