I actually think that there should not be that many sentient species. Lets face, it although life in the universe is probably very common, think about how difficult sentient life is to come about and then their are many more challenges to just get to a stage where any kind of space flight is achievable. Bioware should build on the existing species and make super detailed back stories in addition to putting females in game and talking more of their politics. Do they have a great empire (I think this is what the Turians have) or are all of their planets independent (I think this is what the Asari have) and what not.

I think Mass Effect has enough sentient species for now (since Bioware can still develop the Yahg and the Raloi) but it would be cool for me if a daily new announcement talked about how certain animals and plants from planet A are seriously f*cking up the ecosystem at planet B. I think about how when animals from China make it into the states how much hell gets raised. Now imagine from another planet!

2 or 3 new sentient species should be fine like the canine beings and I agree we need to see more of the current races (e.g. female turians,female batarians)

I personally would HATE any species that so resembled cats or dogs from earth. Final Fantasy's MMO did that enough. I love Mass Effect because it doesn't look anything like Japanese Anime, and I hope to god it can stay that way

a new humanoid reptilian species similiar to this Velociraptor;
Reptilian male and female

Codex:  A canine beings,have an appearance similiar to Earth's different types of wolf or dog breeds.Their homeworld is similiar to Illium,Aiea and Noveria.Their architectures are really strange-looking dystopian cities.Unlike the primitive Reptilians,this dog-like beings is a newest spacefaring species.Average lifespan 96 years.Made a first contact with the Turians after one of their survey ships have found this new species starship which resembles the 20th century human spacecraft.Became a new sentient species introduced by the Citadel races to the galactic community.(hehe..I don't know what to call this alien,how about "The Sajas"?)

I wouldn't mind new species in Mass Effect 3. I want more alien races! More variety plz! Also focus on the female alien races too. there are hardly any females in their alien Races.

Hair, fur and feathers are Craaaazy hard to get right, even in a CGI feature film. Imagine what would happen If you try making it part of a game.

By that I mean, that even with all the money and time available, even the best hardware wouldn't "play" it right. Haven't you noticed that human hair is basically a helmet? and that every other species has aquatic, reptilian or Insectoid "Themes"?

It's been the "law" In PC games since forever.

Doesn't need CGI to make it look real,similiar to human hair in the game,Bioware only need to make it look realistic and you do know that human are the only hairy species in Mass Effect series?

Getting it into combat might be a bit of a problem... and didn't I kill a bunch of those in Half Life?
I say no new races besides maybe those raloi in the Cerberus news report thing showing up.
