ME1+2 squad for 3.

All bioware has to do is expand on their existing squadmates and bring them back for 3.

One thing I didn't notice anyone mention was a custom Squad Member for ME3. You can pick the class and the special they have but nothing else. Pargon would get one member from the Alliance maybe someone else that finally moved up to N7, and the other being a SPECTER. For Renegade someone from Cerberus, and maybe someone from the Terminus systems. Haven't really seen any custom squad members in many new RPGs, unlike some of the older RPG games.

No.

I love the team. Just give us Kaidan/Ashley back and we are ready to roll.

What's that cheesy old song?

"Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver, the other gold." - yeah, the squad is golden now. They lived. I'll keep them, thanks.

Give me the survivors of both games and I'll be good to go.

QFT.

I like my team.  I would rather spend time getting reacquainted with some old friends from ME1 (hint, hint, BioWare).  And focusing on the Reapers.

I'd love to see Shiala come in as a squadmate. But Bioware needs to do right by the rest of the original team (bring Ashley/Kaidan back to the fold, please) before they even think about adding new squadmates.

Well, if we do get new squadmates, we could use an elcor or hanar one. Or even a vorcha one, for laughs.

not so much NEW squadmates, as much as existing no squadmate characters...i.e Aria? or even Joker?

Just give me back Tali, Garrus, Mordin and Legion. The rest can be stuffed into the exhaust port of the Normandy for all I care. Hell, in the case of Jack, Miranda and Zaaed, I'll do the stuffing myself.

As for new Squad members. I wouldn't mind getting more, but I mostly say that because I don't think some of the ME2 ones will stick around. Most of them arn't really material for this kinda thing. They're a lot like Wrex or Garrus was in ME1, they where there for that thing and afterwords they went about there lives. Sure some may keep in touch but Zaeed? Yeah can't see him sticking around, guys a Bounty Hunter. If I had to guess who would be sticking around...

(Basically all the love interests)
Kaiden/Ashly - rejoins due to some alliance talkings
Liara - rejoins after letting Feron take the reigns for awhile just for your mission, maybe
Tali - She's Vas Normandy now, exciled or not.
Jack - Always wanted to be apart of a group or something, found it with Shep (LI or otherwise)
Miranda - She's part of the crew, Paragon ending had he resigning from Cerberus
Garrus - Hes 100% part of the crew at this point
Thane - Doesn't have long to live and views helping your cause as a way to make up for things (plus LI)
Jacob -  Same as Miranda
Mordin - Probably views continueing as part of your crew as a good retirement plan for the next 10 years he has
Grunt - Your his Battlemaster

Legion im not to sure about, could go either way. Same with Samara but she constantly pointed out she'd head to whatever to dish out justice once the mission was over.  Zaeed is just a merc (and DLC), same with Kasumi more or less. Shes awesome and I wish she'd show 'back' up as a re-recruitment (Zaeed to, sorta) but I can't see either of them actually sticking around.

That's basically 10 I'm more or less feel assured will make it as Squad in ME3. Which is the same number we had in ME2 minus the DLC. Samara and legion making that 12 total. That's a lot of folks just like ME2 had, if they add ANY squad members in it'll only be 1-2 (or they'll replace Legion/Samara with em). I'd probably go for a Batarian or some new race we haven't really had a chance to see much of.

In either case, I can't see Wrex re-joining sadly, dudes got to lead his people. Can see him being a temp squaddy in some assault mission like they did for LotSB, but hard to imagin permanent unless its at the very end. ME3 is probably gonna be based off getting everyones aligned together in some epic show down, all the while we search for some method to actually make it possible to deal with the Reapers effectively. Least I figure it'll be that instead of loyalty quests. Hopefully flows more like ME1 did - just as long as, or longer, then ME2 was.

Definetly no! We have enough already with ME1 and 2 squadmates combined, it is already quite a mess. If there really has to be new ones, like possible replacements to dead squadmates, they have to be someone we already know from ME1 and 2. Thane and Mordin will probaply get replaced anyway, Thane is dying and succesfull treatment in his last 2 years is quite unlikely, and Mordin is also very old. Most likely he will stay as your crews scientist but active spec-ops soldier? Unlikely, or atleast quite unrealistic. He is really old Salarian already!

I don't want to see a new squad members in ME3. For me it would be perfect to keep my ME2 team ( well, those who survived last mission of course) and to get Kaidan/Ashley, Wrex and Liara back...

NO!

Maybe just a single new squadmate, but that's about it. We really don't need any more people. Apparently have the best of the best as of ME2, so...

I think we all know Bioware makes fantastic characters.

I'd really love to see them develop one.

Yes, just ONE.

I personally don't mind having one more new squadmate (two at most), but not a whole bunch of them. We just don't need any more people. I thought TIM did tell me that I had compiled the best of the best already.

Say half of the ME2 squadmates (because, let's suppose that some of them will just leave), combined with a few more back from ME1, and maybe one brand new squadmate. That would be everything when it comes to your squad, really.

I'm actually not sure if we can rely on LI potential to keep certain characters on our ship and part of our squad in ME3. I've been getting the feeling that Liara/LotSb is serving as a test bed of sorts for seeing how people would deal with an LI being off the squad. :/ I'll be honest...if I knew that Garrus was off the team, that I'd only "have" him for one mission or something and then he's standing off to the corner...I don't know that I would be thrilled getting ME3.

I know Liara fans were just happy to have her play a role in a mission...but I really hope I'm wrong and just feeling down for no reason. I'm hoping these characters come back in force for the final game of the trilogy...because this may very well be the last we see of them.

The Liara thing seems to be they are giving her a major role in the third game without making her a squad member i guess to appease her fans. That's really the hardest issue when it comes to creating new squad members who do you replace? If any character is cut out and reduced to a minor role like characters were in ME 2 you'll upset their fans and if some play a bigger role the fans of characters who did not will ask why those ones were bought back and others were not. The moving of Liara to a none squad role tells me they already plan to have an Asari on the team so Samara is likely staying on.

I would like at least 3 new squad members. i mean best of the best (even though that was the whole point of the ME2 team then better than the best of the best) someone like Aria she seems powerfull.

That's quite a leap in logic! Image IPB

I don't dispute that Liara may well be off the squad, but it doesn't follow that this secures Samara's "future".

I don't doubt we'll have an asari (or two) in the squad, but Samara...? Nah.
