The best RPG I have already played in my entire gaming career was Baldur's Gate 1 and Dragon Age: Origins first caught my eye/ear when I saw this article a while back with one of the developers claiming it to be the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate. So in a very short period of time I researched the game and watched videos etc and my hype meter kept increasing, almost to the point of bursting.
I remember that I first heard about it being made like way back in -04 or something and I was playing NWN at the time so I just thought 'meh'.
And just a few days ago when I played the game for the first time I can honestly say it was worth every cent that I spent on my purchase. I'm tired of all these games that usually gets released these days that lasts me for less than 20 hours that costs ridiculous sums of money to buy.
Anyhow, amazing game and I kind of want to slap your entire developer team a few times in their faces for causing me to play 9 hours straight and not getting any sleep before work. Slaps of appreciation of course with some small anger for being so tired the day after release.
Anyway, onwards to the point.
I LOVE player-made content. It's what keeps me staying with the game for years, it's what making me come back for more. Without it, NWN 1 would never have lasted as long as it did / does.
So what I suggest is that you add a sort-of recruit page where people of the Dragon Age community can make a sort of profile with their sets of skills and examples of their work attached and what kind of position / work they are looking for.
This way you'll allow us creative fellas to get together and craft our own changes, modules, characters etc.
This idea got to me mainly, because it is a lot harder to find members for your large projects without searching for weeks / months, and even then you might not find anyone.
This would also make it easier to find free voice actors for your modules, as the Looking-For-Work (LFW) profile would be able to include examples of your work, in an amateur voice actor's case, voice.
This is just a suggestion, but I and many others would really appreciate it.
Imagine how much cash you be able to feast on, if your players sticks around for custom-made content in between expansions.
You will still be my favourite developer like you've always been in any case.
Else someone can feel free to take this idea and create a fan-site - that is how much I'd like to see it implemented as it would save me a lot of time and would grant both the players and the builders a chance to see some very well-done modules with high-quality content.
Thanks for reading, and I apologize for the mess..kind of dizzy after a tough day at work.
