While the earlier discussions were sort of interesting, things seem to have ended up in the crapper mostly.

It's mostly degraded to "hawke sucks die hawke die warden ftw" now, can't really argue against stupid comments.

he's 16 and you know it. Stop acting like children all of you. This is a forum for a game we love, regardless of age (it should be 18 to play DAO but hes not and theres nothing we can do). Let him express that opinion and you yours without being petty and immature as many of you have.

Brry Miller said something like
"Isn't he 4?".
I mean what does that add seriously?, nothing thats right. Its just a stupid put down.

Gez you sound like my mum.
Edit: Mum get off the computer!

He also used to call Alistair, Duncan, for some unknown reason, but now calls him Alistair.

Did he romance Duncan?

Its a shame Bryy is a poster I respect, a fellow lore hound like myself but when it results to pathetic little comments about someones age well......

I believe he played as a male Dwarf Noble...?

Also, no, but he did get this close to bedding Morrigan, that cheap hussy, and I grabbed the controller and said no, and destroyed his budding relationship with her. That's what aunts and mothers are good for.

I won't lie, it's getting rather frustrating when the thread devolved into nothing but "DIE HAWKE DIE WARDEN IZ BEST" comments and such. It made me question the maturity / age of the posters.

Kind of hard to ignore spam when a poster won't grow up and stop. =]

Good lad, knows greatness already.

That's what aunts and mothers are good for.

I thought that was to scream on Fox news how video games turned their children into murderers.

Isn't there any age limit here, anyway? Since the games are rated "M"? IIRC, he's not even supposed to be posting here.

He has refined taste, the likes of which I have never seen. Reminds me of myself as a child.

And nice save with the Morrigan romance scene.Image IPB I hope to one day be as good an uncle as you are an aunt!

This is just a question thats been bugging me. Might as well put it here where other members can help rather than start my own topic but how do I put a picture that isn't in the Galleries as my portrait?. I know its probably extremely simple and its just me being a "Noob" but its been bugging me for a while. Thanks :).

Bleh. I don't like dwarves. Would have set him up to be king, but he just doesn't think of his family...who dies...in that Origin...

The best sort of aunts and uncles are the kind that scream "Go for the eyes, baby, GO FOR THE EYES!"

American media regulation in a nutshell right there.

I'd suggest reading the last 10 pages or so. I don't know where exactly it begins, but once you hit OIB's posts I'd be interested in seeing if you can make it through without being driven completely insane. I think it's safe to say that we've all written some solid, well-reasoned posts arguing our respective positions - until everyone pretty much gave up after realizing that trying to reason with OIB is kind of like banging your head against a wall repeatedly - only a hundred times more painful and without the benefit of seeing pretty stars spinning around.

EDIT: maybe it's fewer than 10 pages, but I don't want to put myself through that trauma again. :P

Very true. The current generation is much too liberal with their views on child-rearing. I've been called out on letting my nephew watch Star Wars at that age, and realized, yeah, it was a mite violent for him.

I watched whatever the hell I liked and developed a healthy fear/revulsion of porn, gore movies, and horror.

Also, it's hard not to take this as a jab towards me since I just got finished saying I let my nephew play DAO. That's a rather...gorey game.

I picked up the box and started trying to tell him what the names of the creatures and characters were on it, since I figured he never picked it up, and started with "And that's the dragon" and sassypants interrupts me and says "No, that's the Archdemon. And that's a yogurt--"

"You mean ogre?"

"Oh, yeah, yeah, ogre..."

He also used to call Alistair, Duncan, for some unknown reason, but now calls him Alistair.

That is so cute!

To the OP, nope, I'm not dissapointed in the least. I'm looking forward to getting to know Hawke and her family, getting to know all the new people, seeing new places, having new skills, new armors, new weapons, new quests, new game dynamics...

The only that would be better is if DA2 released in time for Christmas this year. But we know that won't happen.
