I thought Legion's was among the most ridiculous of the dossiers. I guess they know their audience. Tali's was the only one worse, I'm sure more than a few teenagers snickered predictably about the nerve stimulator installs/uninstalls. Grunt's was bad too. I wish this game wasn't marketed at kids, what's next, ewoks?

See I personally found Grunt's to be one of the best.  He's young by Krogan standards, just hitting maturity, and even younger when you consider the fact that he's tank born.  Him searching through the extranet and databases to learn more about his people and himself, the misspellings (like Rex instead of Wrex leading to dinosaurs) was rather endearing... particularly how it led him into reading literature.  What he chose to read, what he didn't... 'The Old Man and the Sea', etc... it gave a bit more depth to him beyond just being a mindless fighting machine.

The same could be said for Tali's.  I had comepletely disregarded the fact that yes, all her team died on her mission, and how that might have affected her.  Her trying unsuccesfully to write that letter to the next of kin was heartbreaking.  Yes, there was a great deal of humor in both of these character's dossiers, but I think it was more to help lighten the mood and keep it from being too serious of an introspection than it was any marketing to juveniles.

Back to the topic at hand however, Legion was definately one of my favorite reads, whom I missed on my first visit there since I'd not picked him up as yet that save.  The idea of him playing games was perfect for the character.  In many ways, he's like a young child in terms of innocence.  Video feeds and data logs can tell you alot about a people, but they tend to not capture all the nuances of human interaction.  Gaming however exhibits the best and worst of that.  Gaming offers Legion a way to directly interact with humanity from a position of autnomity, likely with the best of intentions regarding learning more about us... but woefully unprepared for social cues as shown by his dating sim score.  The fact that he donated the max amount but then chose not to actually play the Eden Prime game also shows us a great deal of the character I think.  It brings to light that he/they may well feel some guilt, or at the least responsibility, for the actions of the heretics and try to make amends.  This, like the bit about them and Quarian Opera in ME1, shows signs of a much deeper culture and emotional underpinning to the Geth as compared to simply being standard robots.

Do you like, have a sense of humour? At all? And I don't remember Tali having anything about Nerve stimulators, was too busy reading her email trains to and from the Shadow Broker.

Like if you were to ask Legion what love was, he'd probably be able to explain it pretty well based on information gained from the extranet, but naturally the geth haven't experienced it, same with other emotions.

Legion: Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.

I wonder if Legion did all the "Bad Ends" in that relationship game.

I was just ashamed that Tali still felt she had to keep the nerve stims after the pre suicide mission night.

Its funny, in a ME 2 adaptation fanfic I'm reading(seriously, this thing is huge, and actually well done), some of the crew flips out once they find out what Legion's online handle was, because they'd played against him.

Well no offense John Smith wouldn't really stand out in a Fantasy RPG unless you were on an RP server in Wow and other MMORPGs you can make up whatever name you want and people would be cool with it. In my old guild before I quit wow there were people named jackbquik, hooves and other 'non-lore standard' names. Unless you're on an RP server the only things people care about is how good you are and how good your gear is.

You said well, I agree with you
I always find Grunt and Legion so innocent like a child.  I love both of them since I first met them. I feel sorry that people see Legion as just a robot when he's not. For that , I refuse to call him "it".
