Hopefully, unlike DA: Origins that recieved so many good critic scores and some honest critics who gave it a 60-80 instead of a 100, DA2 will be judged fairly and people will not just see the Bioware company name and give it a 100 because of how promising their past games are like BG. I've learned my lesson from Awakening. I Will be waiting for reviews for DA2 and any other games from Bioware if there this desperate for money to release such crap.

You know, Awakenings was buggy but to call it crap is just wrong. Even if you didn't like it, it's not crap.  In a world full of crappy games you should be better able to tell the difference.

I played this DLC at a friend of mine, and man, I was disappointed at the end of it all.

Not only because of the bugs (especially the DR bug was most annoying), but also because it doesn't tie up any loose end. Instead, it only generates more and more and more and more loose ends.
Then the recycled areas. Recycling the Circle Tower, okay. I can imagine. Just as the tomb where the broken Eluvian mirror was to be found. But was there really any need to recycle the Dragonbone Wastes or the Cadash Thaig? No.
And the conversation with Morrigan basically did it for me. If I could say something to Morrigan at that very moment, I would've said "Stop being so vague and just start telling me what you mean!".

I don't know if this DLC can be seen as a DA2 advertisement, but I already was convinced that DA2 is going to be rubbish (I want to create my own background and stuff instead of getting a stupid bloke that anyone can find around every single corner in Denerim).

Dragon Age: Origins was the first game I ever played of BioWare (and I usually don't play games from companies that are linked to EA (EA ripped me off big time)), and I only discovered later that BioWare was linked to EA. But seeing how good DAO was (despite all of the bugs, I still enjoyed the game), I thought "All right, I'll give BioWare a chance."
But now, I'm starting to doubt myself AND the chance I gave them. I keep on asking myself the following question: Is this what BioWare is? Another pawn of EA, only after your money just like Blizzard is? A money vampire? DO they even deserve a chance? I'm finding myself at a difficult position.

Don't waste your bucks on this DLC. Don't. Anyone with a brain would think twice after reading all these comments.

Call it an exaggeration, call me a whiner or whatever you want to call me, I'm merely offering my opinion. Do with it what you want, I don't care.

And to BioWare: *G-Man beams in* Prepare for unforseen consequences... (No, I'm not threatening them, I'm just warning them since they can lose many fans by acting this way.)

Why? Because the alternative to being nice to her was rather extreme. I wanted to give her a smack for sleeping with Alistair then hug her for saving our lives. Confuse the poor girl and what not

Witch Hunt is crap. I should have just donated the 7 bucks to charity, at least some good would come from that.

There is literally zero redeeming features about Witch Hunt. It's a shame too, considering that LotSB was easily one of the best experiences I've had in gaming.

Well now I'm glad I didn't buy it. After Awakening and DC I stopped buying anything for DA:O without reading a ton of reviews first. Either they have no problem releasing poor quality products or they know their loyal fans will buy whatever crap they put a price on. Maybe both.

On the other hand Mass Effect 2 DLC has been very impressive.. hmm.

I actually didn't even know about Witch Hunt until today. I just beat it a couple minutes ago and I would have been better off if i never learned of its putrid existence. I was hoping that it would somehow make up for the rip-off that was Awakening by answering the main questions I had about the story. I mean, that is what the ad told me I was getting and that is what I really wanted. But NO, I get to the end and I say to myself, "What the eff just happened?!?" I hope whatever patch thats supposedly coming out at least gives me an ending. I would have paid $7 just for a solid ending; anymore glitch-filled nonsensical gameplay is pretty much unnecessary at this point..

To say it sucks is an understatement. I was so psyched when I saw the ads for this that I started a new character from scratch just to replay DA:O and go immediately after Morrigan.

But instead of Morrigan I get two random new companions and my dog following a linear 'fetch item A from location X and fetch item B from location Y and then proceed to location Z' where you finally catch up to Morrigan. Since it only took me (at level 22-23) half an hour or so to get to this point, I figured this was where the story would really begin.

Nope.  This is where it ends.

You get one conversation with Morrigan in the entire game. One. And spoilers be damned, there's nothing to spoil:

Player: What about the baby?
Morrigan: The baby is safe and innocent.
Player: What are your plans?
Morrigan: To go through the portal.
Player: And then what?
Morrigan: I will not tell you.
Player: Can I go with you?
Morrigan: No. Oh, and watch out for Flemeth. She'll be back.

Seriously. That's it. The end (except somehow a universal, 100% 'game will not save here' bug managed to get through testing).

The boss fight was boring and easy (I play on 'normal'. Maybe on 'nightmare' it might have been a challenge) and it led up to a non-ending in under 45 minutes. Compare that to the amount of time it took to play Leliana's Song at the same price (and in that you get a great story that fills in a lot of detail). The only 'answer' you get in Witch Hunt is learning about the mirror which you only knew about if you ever played a Daelish elf. The least they could have done is let you find that lost companion from the Daelish origin, but he's just mentioned in passing.
And if you've never played the Daelish origin, then you pretty much have no clue about the mirrors anyway.

I got more playtime from every other DLC they've put out and even if I didn't like it (I hated Golems), I at least got a sufficient amount of play time out of it.

So if you're looking to play it for answers? You don't get any.
If you're looking to play it to enjoy Morrigan's company and witty banter? You don't get any.
If you're looking to play it to kill a couple of hours? You get a fraction of the time.

Oh yeah, and it's 45 mintues of *buggy* content to boot.

I was so looking forward to this DLC as well as to DA2.  I've played through ME, ME2, DA:O, DA:OA and all the DLC for these games, but after this disaster, I'll think twice before throwing any more  money at BioWare.

I used a nice mod at Dragon Age Nexus. Epilogue changer http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=933

I started a old profile before Awakenings, used the mod. And Started WH and got a ending where I went through the portal with Morrigan. Also had a option to kill her.

I had a buggy game with my Awakenings character, but with the other character was a lot better with the mod installed.

If you played as a Dalish elf in DAO you find that companion again just after the Shrieks attack your camp.

Good to know.  I haven't played that far as a Dalish.  If you're not a Dalish, btw, in Witch Hunt, there's a throwaway reference to the two elves who found the mirror (no context - if I hadn't played the Dalish origin I would have had no clue)

I'm glad I waited. $7 for an hour long bug-ridden DLC with little dialogue and even less Morrigan herself? No thanks. Bioware and David Gaider should be ashamed of themselves. Fool me once, shame on me (DA: Awakening), fool me twice, no way. Although there's enough people out there that will happily shell out $5-7 for DLC that's bug filled and short, let alone $40 for a bug-filled expansion pack. Just wait until DA2 is out. Given Bioware's track record of poor QA, I don't think so. It was fun while it lasted, but now on to other games.

It's "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." If you didn't learn your lesson the first time...

I got the "Walk off into the Mirror (Sunset) with Morrigan ending". I pretty much bought Witch Hunt to get just 1 of my Warden's his proper RP ending. So to me it was worth it, that and I didn't get that bug that breaks the DLC so maybe that also adds to my bias, but I did enjoy it. To me it was up there with Awakening, not alot of talky, a bit of action, some new goodies, and then the ending I wanted for my Noble Male Warrior Warden. Even found out I had a son. So it was good times. I'm probably not gonna put my other wardens through WH as the rest of my Wardens are not fond of her sass-mouth and callousness.

Bioware definitely have to set new standards for their add ons. If they think that they can get away by marketing April's fools jokes and teaser trailers they are going to lose their customer base even before they know it.

I went from initially wanting to buy this DLC just for the heck of it (I'm not a big Morrigan fan, but neither am I a detractor) to feeling enough is enough, it's just not worth it.

Darkspawn Chronicles taught me to do a little review reading before jumping into buying a DLC.  I've yet to finish the thing.  I'm sure I'll get round to making myself get through it one of these days.

Golems wasn't the Deep Roads experience I was hoping for (and I'm one that can't get enough of the Deep Roads for whatever reason).  It was...'meh.'   So, I decided to import my first Warden into Awakening while I waited for Witch Hunt to get some feedback.

With Witch Hunt, not only am I seeing that it simply doesn't deliver what was promised, it was released with Mothra-sized bugs.  Despite my admitted addiction to DA, I can't reward that sort of behavior by a company, even if it is 'only' 7 bucks.  This is, apparently, the last opportunity I'll have to vote with my money, so I'm taking it.

What's really a shame is that I was finally starting to lose some of my apprehensions about DA2.  Ah, well.   Time will tell on that one, too, of course.

I thought it was OK, but then I didn't have any of the bugs that are being reported other than the end save not working. I got as much content as I was expecting, based on the other DLC released. I'd have preferred a full expansion to finish off the Warden and Morrigan's story, but I didn't really expect one since not every player did the DR.

The Warden that I took through both games and all the DLC got the girl and maybe even a happy ending (for a time). Took me about 2 hours (but then I took 80+ to finish DA:O).

Yes I concur it was a very weak effort and seemed like a part I more than a finish. Just like with leilana's song its seems they just want money and reuse the same stock landscapes despite the fact it was supposed to take place in Orlais.

When you pay over cash things should be perfect what they are doing with other games etc is not relevant. If I had known how weak this was I would not have bought it.

Meh. I don't know what is wrong with the vocal minority.

I ENJOYED every DLC (some more than others) and Witch Hunt was a lot of fun to me! I enjoyed the characters and I felt closure with my Warden and Morrigan at the end.

They can only do SO much! I.e. reusing maps, etc. Otherwise it'd have to cost a lot more money and then consider that Microsoft only allows certain size downloads for DLC. Put it in perspective people!

The DLC are not required. They are all enjoyable and continue the story. What more do you need? I was just happy to have Golems and Witch Hunt over the summer and feel that my Warden's story is far more complete than it was at the end of DA:O.

I didn't get any of the bugs that most of you encountered, so I feel lucky, but I feel that this didn't live up to what they portrayed in the trailer. The combat was really easy, even on nightmare - the boss fight was simple. They also could of done more with whole interaction between the warden and morrigan, but I feel they left out a lot for DA2. Too bad this is the last DLC, I feel like there is a lot more to be added to the whole origins universe.

Also, does anyone know how long Bioware has been developing DA2?

I liked my male Wardens ending (even though I got the glitch and she clamied he didn't do the DR) but my female Wardens ending sucked major. (Also got the glitch). I hope the patch hits xbox soon so I can get the right endings. Other then that I thought it was okay, I still think Wardens Keep was the best DLC.

It's hard to believe so many people expected closure for just 7 bucks. Morrigan Closure would be a complete game in itself. Imagine hunting down Morrigan throughout the land, fighting your way through all sorts of baddies, meeting her half way through, her asking for help for some reason, joining your merry throng, and finally recieving closure. You couldn't do all that in just 30 minutes. If you want closure of the Morrigan saga only the Modding community could provide it, Bioware can't and won't.

I let the fanboys become my beta testers. If feedback is good I purchase a game or DLC. If not, I move on. Just think, I've saved myself £7, much more when you take into consideration the money I've saved on the other useless DLCs. There are only 2 DLCs worthy of note: Shale and Leliana's Song, the rest are money down the Swanee.

Bioware losing it's fanbase is just wishful thinking. They may lose a few customers, which would only be a mere drop in the ocean to them. Come the release of DA2 my beta testers will rush out in droves and purchase it the same day. On day 2 they'll be screaming blue murder about bugs and patches which will take months, if not a year to resolve. By this time DA2 will have dropped in price and I can dive in, provided my beta testers have given good game reviews that is. Don't be a beta tester, folks, let others spend their cash on your behalf. You'll save a lot of money in the long run.
