Dragon Age developers have mentioned DLC for the next two years. What type of DLC would you like to see the most? Example, New continent Orlais or New origin barbarian with continent Dales...Posted Image

New origin Barbarian with a new continent sounds interesting.

They'll probably do that to compensate for the lack of a toolset on consoles.

However, i highly doubt that we'll get whole new lands to explore, let alone continents. Thats content for a Sequel, not for mere DLC. I guess there will be some new sidequests, maybe new characters and an enhanced wardens keep.
New Origins would be nice as well

New Origins, creatures, lore, meet interesting people/creatures and kill them, etc.

They might do what alot of other games do, open up some tiny island for you to explore that has a small amount of new quests and unique items to find. Just look at Fable 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, etc etc

They did say they would have 1 or 2 BIG expansions like new landmass. Prolly not as big as fereldan though mabby something like what WoW does.

Anything would be nice, but what tends to do the most for me is more missions and items.

They said one or two expansion sized DLCs, but I don't know if they mentioned a new landmass. I assume it would be like Shadows of Urintide or Hordes of the Underdark where you were in a new location, but travel was limited.

DLCs are cool but I'd rather have expansions with new areas, if we already get two that's fantastic.Anything that has a neat adventure really is great.

Qunari stuff (they have gun powder). Remember Sten isn't a human.

On the topic of expansions, I think that they are dying a long, slow death and will soon be replaced entirely by downloadable content, the primary difference being size, scope, and price. One could argue that both "expand" the amount of content, but that is getting into semantics.

I have not read much about BioWare's plans but I bet they will follow Bethesda's lead with Fallout 3 since it appears to be easier to distribute and more lucrative to create small bits of content for $5 - $15 than large expansions. Expansions tend to be at least 50% of the size of the original game and usually are priced around there, too, which represents a risk to developers. If it bombs and does not sell well, they just wasted a lot of time. Plus, expansions are more often distributed through retail channels that take cuts, but downloadable content is distributed digitally so the publisher profits more (though sometimes it is also distributed at retail, though often delayed).

I would like to see more origins, classes, and new lands. Right now I feel that the number of origins is the largest issue as I expected a bit more flexibility - I definitely expected a human commoner or even a human bandit, and hope something like that is added.

Yeah, but they have already stated that adding another origin is extremely unlikely.

i'd like to see some new areas, though not neccessarily outside of Fereldan. like some long closed-off thaig in the deep roads, or ruins in the wilds..

Some sort of interaction with the Antivan Crows.

I do love 'em you know. Can you imagine their shiny, pointy daggers getting shoved up inside your a-- I'm not getting out of hand here, am I?

You were going to say "heart", right?

I would also accept "kidney", "neck", "lungs" and "stomach" as alternative targets.

Noble barbarian origin. If they can manage to avoid the stupid D&D-style barbarian.

More towns, arenas, quests, abilities, customization options. Sort of hard to detail what else we want when we haven't played the game, though.

Noble Barbarian? Isn't that an oxymoron?

New companions and romances. Alas, that is what I am mostly interested in having in my DLC.
