Seems to be especially problematic when you walk down the hallway under Liara's office. Just complete application crash every time I try to walk under there.
This is a big issue as I haven't recruited Samara or Thane... there is no way to get to the parts of Illium to do those missions.
Out of about 20 attempts I was able to walk down the hallway ONCE without a crash, immediately after offering to do the security points side mission for Liara. However immediately after doing that side mission I am unable to walk down that hallway again.
Need a patch to fix Illium at the least.

same here! This is really disheartening that a DLC would be released with an issue like this, you know with the game, all the DLC and everything else I have given them about one hundred dollars or maybe more. The least they could do is when the give us 20 minutes of play time for 10 bucks is have the 20 minutes work.
I am not the guy who goes around hassling everyone and everything on forums, but this just really dissapointed me. I am sorry for the rant, but I thought this game was different than all the other PC games we always get that have all the little issues. ME1 and ME2 were better, I thought.

Sorry for the double post, but even these forums are doing strange glitchy things also. Thanks very much for the awesome experience EA!

same for me - never had a problem on Illium - today after installing LotSB the game always crash in the hallway
if someboday has a fix or knows a workaround i would be happy to hear
will try to lower graphics and try again with some different settings but i worry it will not be that easy
update:
i play the game now in windowed mode and it seems to work for me - at least i can now walk around illium without problems. maybe it is also because i helped liara hacking the terminals, even after this assignment was finished illium is working just fine.

I can bump on this issue. I've also run into crashes other places than in the hallway though. But that one is consistent. Especially after talking to Liara.

Running in window mode with no borders also solves this issue for me. Thx!
Edit: Or no, it didn't. Only once. Then the whole thing crashed again after completing a quest. But switching back between window, window (no border) and fullscreen some, and running back and forth in the trade area some solved the problem... Again... Wonder how long it works now.

Also having the same problem.

Having the same problem myself. I kept saving every few feet over an old save, in one save slot, and reloaded after the crash, and eventually got to the terminals, hacked them, returned to Liara, and it stopped crashing. Did the rest of LoSB fine.
No clue what's up here, but fixing it would be nice.

Bump, I too am experiencing this problem.

To all who are still experiencing this. Try uninstalling the entire game and DLCs, obviously retaining the save game files. Then try again. It seems that parts of the game may have been corrupted. If it doesn't work, you haven't really lost anything except a little time and the fact you'll have eliminated one possible fix as being the solution.

I have tried reinstalling the game and it still doesn't work.

No luck here with my reinstall. Still hangs and crashes in that same hallway.
Edit: I was able to get through the hallway in windowed mode also, thanks for the heads up!

I've experienced the crash in the same hallway as well.

Yeah, reinstalling isn't working. However, I was just able to walk through the hall a few times, but then it randomly crashed again in the exact same spot...so I have no idea what's going on.

Well, then try this. Remove LOTSB and then try playing the recruiting missions on Illium, then reinstall the DLC so you can continue on.. You may not be able to do this if LOTSB is already part of the save(s) in question, as you'll get a message that xxx save could not be used without xxx DLC installed.. So hopefully, you have some backed up.

Play in "Window mode", you'll be able to pass through the hallway without crashing as mentioned previously. I hope this issue has been seen by the mods

I confirmed last night that walking through the hallway in windowed mode does work.
It's a minor inconvenience, but you can toggle it back over to full screen once you get out of that hallway.

Also confirming that switching to windowed mode prevented the crashes.

Add me to the list. I'll try the windowed mode and check back with you folks on whether it works. I thought my video card was starting to tank on me until I found this thread.
Edit:
Still not working.

Windowed mode fixed this for me too, but having to play in windowed mode is terrible. Would be nice to see a patch to fix this.

Since i loaded the DLC, walking in the passage under Liara's office on Illium often causes the game to crash unless i walk very slowly, and even then it still crashes at times.
I generaly have not had any bugs with the actual DLC content itself.
Windows Vista 64 Bit
Intel Core i7 3.07GHz
6 GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295

I have exactly the same issue. The only way I found around this was going directly back to the ship after speaking to Liara and then returning to Illium. The bug seems to occur anytime you speak to her.
