This is my favorite part.

This whole thread's only purpose was to antagonize.

I hate trolls.

I got most of the dialogue described and I played through as a female. I agree, it has to do with cunning or willpower or any of the other attributes you have. I didn't realize willpower opened up new dialogue options until I started my play through as a mage.

Errr...Wow...Really? Umm...I just thought it was fun playing other characters who had different dialog. Gave me another reason to play each origin.

Reason #50 why I love this forum: People playing the game through once and not knowing anything about how it works, then complaining because of something that's blatantly not true.

The rabid feminism totally made this for me, though.

Would you really want male and female dialog to be the same? That would be rather lame imo.

poision making opens up dialogue so does intelligence with some conversations. ive seen alot of diffrent skills unlock new dialogue for example the elf village if you have skill in survival you know how to coo and soothe the elf deer.

I can think of a few places where males DO have more dialog selections. At Flemeth's hut, there actually is one available to a human male. There's also a different one based on cunning. When giving Alistair his mother's amulet, there a selection that is male only (calling Alistair your friend) and one that is female only (romance starter -- or in a romance line). It's too bad the male only one is not available for female characters there as your remaining two selections, if you don't want to start a romance with him, are not that great.

Edit: The Flemeth one, it actually looks to be a bug, though who knows.  A human male can ask "I believe you have something we need."  The cunning option is, "Believed or not, some things must be accepted."  But the human male answer is not noted to be as such -- it just wasn't copied under the comment she makes to a female, dwarf, or elf.

Seems to me the game takes a feminist stance
Women are capable (in the game anyway, how realistic it is is another matter) of anything men are
The reactions to them vary from Sten's close-mindedness to the open-mindedness of Loghain (whatever his other faults hes not racist or sexist). Its not feminist to want a fictional world to ignore prejudice like the OP does, just naive

Feralden in general seems to me to be much more liberal than our world is even today. Theres quite a few female soldiers at Ostagar and the reaction of NPCs to PC female warriors suggest that whilst female warriors are unusual they aren't remarkable

edit: and I should say the game gained a great deal by the way the races and sexes were treated IMO. For me at least the City Elf story is more involving played as a female than as a male. There are other examples but thats the quickest and easiest one I can think of to illustrate why I think the game was right to bring in racial and sexual differences.

Bioware is probably the best company out there for gender inclusiveness, so your criticism here is wildly misplaced, in my opinion. There were a couple of iffy jokes, but they were the work of a female writer, so...there ya go.

I reported you, too Serious Beatdown. That kind of crap has no place here.

I'm p.o.'ed that When I play super mario brothers 1 I can only play as a guy and I must save the helpless princess...
