I've played DAO as a rogue all the way. I've played one warrior and one mage. For me it's Rogue all the way. I love the way the game plays for a pc as a rogue. I also don't need cloaks, since stealth does this for me. I also enjoy stealing while stealth. Love the lock pick feature. I've also killed several dragons in this game and beat the the other classes by being a Rogue to kill those dragons myself. I still haven't unlocked the achievement for the whirlwind, but I still keep trying and enjoying going for the achievement.

The new skills for rogues in Awakenings - I felt where amazing, that heartseeker, and twin strikes. I really enjoyed watching my characters execute those moves.

Playing a rogue also puts me in the same club as Leliana and Zevran.

I really liked the way the rogues were developed for this game and I hope to see more for DA2.

I will play DA2 as a Lady Hawk Custom Rogue.

I hope we will get cooler looking daggers...........that actually look like DAGGERS!! lol

and maybe Rogues can hold their daggers with the "reverse grip" instead of like traditional swords.....

Yeah it would be kind of cool to see some of that going on for sure. I really wish rogues were given the option to also throw a dagger, think that would be a cool animation to see, but I don't have high hopes for that one.

Like how Leilana threw her daggers in the Sacred Ashes trailer?Yeah that was cool...
But maybe some they the make throwing daggers available as a ranged weapon?

It's possible and would be most welcome, but I'm not going to hang my hopes on it, lol.

So far the only thing I've heard that's really disappointed me is that there will be no cloaks in the game. Cloaks and Rogues are like peas in a pod, they just go together, lol.

According to Peter Thomas Rogues are the most flexible class.
You can find it on this thread: http://social.biowar...4715441/14&lf=8

Makes sense, seeing as Rogues are supposed to be the most flexible class...

Anyway I have a question, since it has been confirmed that whe will have a party consisting of two warriors, two mages and...wait for it... two rogues.

Now since it has been confirmed that Varric is a rogue, and I personally think dwarven rogues look just as kick-ass as elven rogues, what kind of other rogue character are you hoping for? (race, personality, etc)

By no cloaks do they mean, no cloak slots? I wonder if they could still design an armor that has a cloak "built-in". At least as a part of some DLC.

So there is no cloack like armor for the Rogues?
Shame...

I play rogues most of the time. Rogues are the best because we are steathy, deadly, crafty, and have flexable morals (or is that just my rogues? hehe)

I Love Rogues!

And let's not forget...

Rogues do it...from behind ;)

Warriors = Big Swords, bigger impacts, better endurance, but slow to take down enemy
Rogues = Little Swords, but stealthy and significantly quicker kills

If you take this from a sexual perspective, you'll never see the rogue coming, and by the time he's done you won't even know what happened.

Not sure if I'm praising rogues or putting them down, haha...

Since we're talking about rogues doing it from behind, here's what Peter Thomas had to say about "do it from behind" AI:

Peter Thomas wrote...
Being behind an enemy is beneficial, but not necessary for Rogue  critical hits. The Rogue also has abilities to ensure his appropriate orientation with the enemy. As to if the AI system itself can be given  movement commands to get behind a target, I can't say. That system has not been finalized yet.

I'm quite fond of the rogue armour, even though we get little variation in Origins. It seems practical and efficient overall. Unlike, say, the fellow in this photo (and I can't tell what class he'd be):

That link didn't work for me at first. It would have been better if it stayed that way. I am not sure how much protection that armor would provide... It seems to protect the most important parts though.

:D  I remember something like that was in Arcanum! Really looks like Virgil in barbarian's armor  :D  though there were no winged helmets or cloaks, right?

The helmet looks so familiar for some reason, can't quite put my finger on it though.

A naughty elven female, who thinks she has gotten a vision from 1 of the elven gods.
She will be starting with bow skills.

I would love to see another Sigrun-type rogue. Someone who seems naive or nice (not saying Sigrun is really either of those) on the ouside but inside is really torn up over something or they possess some dark secret or somesuch.

Sigrun was kinda naughty, stealing stuff from party members, but giving it back.

Yes, Sigrun was awesome, I hope whe get another rogue like that. As for the dark secret part, doesn't every party member in BioWare game have some sort of secret?
