The Boss Battles in Overlord and LOTSB where both extremley well done, but I wish Bioware had spent some time to make the final Reaper boss a bit more interesting, I mean, all I have to do is fire a nuke at it and hit it in the eye with the pea-shooter.  I mean come on!  Tasir is much more difficult to beat than a half grown reaper!  Hopefully the Bosses in ME 3 will be more interesting and challenging and less anti-climatic.

It certainly made for an impressive setpiece.

I don't think anything tops fighting Vasir so far.

I want the final boss battle to be in a "sinking ship". All great sci-fi climaxes must take place on a battlefield that is falling apart around you.

I liked the shadow broker fight, Vasir not so much. I don't think bosses should rely on huge amounts of HP.

I didn't mind the idea of the reaper baby in ME2, just the execution. If you have a boss that is that massive, and supposed to be extremely powerful, being able to kill it with hand held weapons is ridiculous.

I do agree that the variation and difficulty of the bossfights in the current DLC are definately superior to the final fight with Baby-Reaper. Having to get in close and brawl with the Shadow Broker was a neat cinematic touch, and while the fight with Vasir was fine it felt artificially extended somewhat... like the only way it would stand up is on her raft of hitpoints and having her dash about so much (she got over losing all that blood damn fast, didn't she?).

The bossfights are certainly getting better. I'm thinking that by the time the third episode rolls around we'll get something really memorable, and importantly gauged better for challenge.

the reaper was easily kill able, the only saving grace it had was that it was BIG, other than you can kill it with a couple shots from a pistol.

I didn't really like fighting the shadow broker that much. It seamed corny to me. Oh he has a new shield that can only be broken by punching it, ooooh random omni tool shield that is unexplained.. Vasir was okay but I wish that there was at least one specter that hasn't gone rogue.

Considering the shadow broker is suppose to have access to all sorts of secrets it only makes sense he would have some of the more cutting edge tech that some races are still testing for military use or the research to build and test his own hardware. Hell just look at his ship.

Vasir on insanity was a challenge, but I still managed it first time.

The only thing I didn't like about the fight was the interludes where she simply left the arena.

However, It was great to see charge used finally.

Same here but it took me 2 tries on insanity. She tore up my infiltrator pretty good with that charge move.

You know what would be cool for Mass Effect 3? Rallying other Spectres and overthrowing the Council.

The Council Members are all idiots, but I don't think overthrowing the seat of galactic power at such a critical stage is a good idea. (Ya know since the reapers are INVADING this galaxy). Besides, I like how stupid they are, makes me feel better. Where would we be without the Turian Councilor?

I mean a situation like The Return of the King, where the leader (Denethor) refuses to acknowledge a threat, and his lackeys are forced to overthrow him.

I'd like to see more interesting boss battles like in LotSB it beats the lame battles we got in ME 2 which were mostly a regular elite troop or a flying vehicle. The flying ones were dumb because the AI is just set to follow Shepard around so you can just run around while your teammates shoot the hell out of it since it'll completely ignore them. even the human reaper had the most predictable pattern ever and was easy to beat.

Only thing I didn't like about the boss battles were the heavy pre-scripting. My Cain can't kill the Shadow Broker in one shot, so I have to follow up with a few fists? WTF?

I think they are developing more and more into comic-book super villain fights.

I think most can agree that Vasir was probably the greatest boss in the Mass Effect series.

That makes two Spectres down.

Other than Sovreign possessed Saren corpse, Kuril, and the Shadow Broker, it really doesn't even feel like ME has boss fights so far. People intended to be bosses just feel like they're maybe at a miniboss level. It's the biggest disappointment to me in the games.

I can't consider Kuril to be a boss, even though he was meant to be one...

He's just not tough enough.

Thorian? Matriarch Benezia?

I know what you mean though, something is lost when a lot of the bosses just slightly tougher than regular soldiers. It may be more realistic, having humanoid characters all at a similar level of strength, but you don't feel any different than if you were taking out a bunch of the stock standard enemies.

I really hope Shepard can fist-fight Harbinger in ME3.

Best boss fight ever was the Thorian!

Right guys?!

But overall I think the concept of a boss battle can fit it well with the Mass Effect universe, and LOTSB pulled it off masterfully with Tela Vasir and decently with the Shadow Broker - which while cool did stand out as being kinda... off...
