Rancor. Seriously though, no friggin' pets. Fish were okay but if I can't upgrade the Normandy to have an automated fish feeder, it's airlock time.

Urz + no fish = win
or
a Pijak that runs around the room and in occasionally up on things when you come into the cabin.

Tresher Maw, which doubles as a waste deposit and means to get rid of unwanted squadmates. I'd take two...
I could settle for stuffed Varren, deep-frozen hamster or any other nerd-ish trope as was done with the hamster...... but seriously, who needs a fething pet to take care off in the middle of the fight against the Reapers ?

urz for the win. I was so disappointed that he only followed you around Tuchanka. I wish you could have kept him in the cargo bay or with Grunt.

Awww that would be cute I'd actually take one of those! But what happens when it gets grown up? I don't want it to become a little ship of horrors, " Feed me Shepard!"

If anything I m for the shifty looking cow as squad mate. Certain credit stashes in the mission would only show up when the SLC comes along
.
Seriously though, I'd favor no pets at all. You are supposed to be on a military vessel in space where every inch of room and life support for ever crew member is extremely expensive to maintain (that is made very clear in Revelation and ME1). I am not too fond of the fact that they already softened that up with the SR2 and I'd rather no have them go down that road any further.

Rats get everywhere, and it's odd on that they, or similar alien pests, will get onto any ship that docks at planet side ports or at space stations. Which means at least a ship's cat, or alien equivalent, is not being over the top on the Normandy because it is keeping down vermin that would otherwise damage the ship.
For those who remember, the space goat in a certain game that got onto the ship was an example of damage vermin can do to a spaceship. Now had there been an Urz, it wouldn't have lasted long enough to chew cables and stuff up. Cookie for whoever gets the reference..

How about a dog like in Fable II. Man, dogs are awesome. I think every RPG should have a dog companion.

Kitty!
It can knock my trophies all around my room, try to get at the fish in my fishtank...
It can even get out and wander around the ship. I can so imagine a little kitty curled up for a snooze on Zaeed's shoulder.

Does that mean Harbinger will shoot it at the end of Mass Effect 3 before an anticlimatic "Boss Battle"?Spornicus wrote...

Nah, but TIM might kick it, though. If it's cute. For humanity, of course.

I want a big, fluffy cat, like a maine ******, or just anything that you can interact with, really.
