Hello all,

I'm kinda frustrated here, not sure why I can't upload a file to my project on Social Bioware Project.  It is a rar file, & every time I try to upload it I get an error message (Your file's filetype is not allowed.)  It is within the size limit, & I haven't found any directions for clarification as to why I am getting this error.  I did find 2 other threads (with no solution offered) here & here.

Any help will be appreciated.  I'm sure I overlooked something silly, or don't have an option enabled...

What you're overlooking is the filetype, which isn't allowed.

Really? Because it states rar files are allowed on that page.



Allowed File Types: jpg,xls,xlsx,doc,docx,zip,jpeg,7z,rar



I'm uploading a rar file. So either the page's direction is wrong, or there is another restriction that I'm missing...

Well, I'd say that does look suspicious. At any rate, the file type list doesn't apply to projects globally -- if the list isn't dynamic there really is no guarantee rars are allowed in your specific project while it may be in others.

Well, I was able to upload a 7z, but not a rar.



Kinda silly...
