Same thing with the "secret dosiers" on the other terminal.
I can ignore it to enjoy the games overall, but sometimes they really throw it in your face.

I stopped bothering with the videos because most of them are pointless and juvenille. I sometimes get this picture of the devs and writers at Bioware doing that little pinky thing from Austin Powers and giggling like 12-year-old boys as they include these little vapid bits into their games to show how "mature" and edgey" they are.

The problem with "for the lolz" is that it damages the characters for the sake of a cheap laugh.

The only dossier/video that bothered me was Miranda's dating log, but otherwise I felt the humor fit the characters very well. If you don't mind my asking, whose reputation was damaged by these videos?

Where are people seeing this video? I've been through the videos multiple times (including after the suicide mission) and never saw this one. Is there another video console or something?

I don't think they were trying to be "mature" with the LotSB video collection - it was there strictly for laughs (for the most part).

The dossiers add so much more depth to the existing characters it isn't even remotely funny. In fact, I would go so far as to say the dossiers were the best part of the DLC. They proved that TIM isn't as "human-centric" as he claims to be, that Geth thinking processes have evolved beyond that of standard AI's, and reveals more about Garrus' background than both his ME/ME2 conversations combined.

Really? I thought the funniness of Miranda's dating log was shown in a completely different light once you finally get to her last dossier entry. It added a new level of complexity to her seemingly dismissal nature of "the losers on dating sites". She now had a purpose for doing so that wasn't solely ****y/humorous.
And as for the "for the lolz", I don't really think it damages the characters at all. Certainly not the dossiers. The videos, maybe, but those were mainly only the small side characters to the plot.

If Mordin taught us anything, it's that lube exists that is compatible with both Turian and Human biology. So... yay for that
