I never liked that Garrus picture. Must be the only depiction of Garrus that I don't like. I am very happy my FemShep and Garrus can't procreate and will need to rely on adoption (her choice, no cloning, etc., for her).



I never knew about the Krogan one. I wish that were still the case. That's going to give me nightmares.

Not quite. There is no universal definition,  and it's not always true that they're incapable of interbreeding.  It's more that they don't, for any number of potential reasons.  I.e., they could be perfectly interfertile, but behavioral or coloration differences mean interbreeding almost never happens.  Also, reproductive isolation doesn't work at all when you're talking about species that don't reproduce sexually.  See here for a few of the definitions in use:

They give birth to an Asari that shares nothing genetically with the other parent. A human / asari child is the exact same thing as an asari / krogan child. Essentially, the other parent means nothing in the relationship.

Because the asari are an artificial race (ingame). Everyone would also notice that the asari are the only species where biotics are common(every asari have biotics) and that they are even able to attract salarians who didnt have a sexdrive.

This all makes sense if they are artificial created.I am sure they are and maybee that is the next big revelation after the one that collectors are protheans.

Asari lore aside, I think it might be nice to have the "option" for children in some shape or form and the end or during ME3. Being adoption, natural or otherwise. But as I said, really only as an "option".

No, it's not.  I've read it.  I'm even pretty sure I know what you're thinking of too. If so, you're talking about something from Grayson's POV, and all we can take from that is that he's heard about this idea and he assumes there's something to it.  Given that he's not an omniscient being, or even especially scientifically literate, that's meaningless.  Billions of asari believe it too, so what does one human opinion matter?

Like the "rose of illium".Not to forget scientists could have different oppinions.
If the partner doesnt have any importance,its already difficult to explain why asari pairings have a higher chance to have ardat yakshi daughters or what an asari "father" gain from such an relationship.(even as an asari,the child is not really hers if the theory is true)
Make more sense the other way.

I agree.  Shep has way too much to do.  No kids till she saves the universe.  Then Kaidan and Shepard will have cute little rug rats.    or Shepard and whoever the LI is can do what they want and I will be playing something new.

in the case of asari any child would be asari but personality talent and skill would be passed on to the child as i believe with all children regardless of species
