Making a new thread, the last one obviously died, heres hopes that this one wont, until we find a fix for this .. bug?

Anyway, like the thread says, Unable to Load Area. This is simply the problem which me and few others have.
When we are attempting to start the DLC, it kicks us right back to the menu with the message saying.

'Unable to Load Area'

If you guys know of any fixes, or ideas please come forward.

Would also greatly appreciate if Bioware stepped in here.

Having this problem too. I get the Unable to Load Area pop up when I try to use my Origins or Awkening saves, crashes to desktop if I click on my Darkspawn chronicles save, and I get the Unable to Load Area pop up again if I try to make a new character. I have all 3rd party dlc turned off.

Mate, i still have been unable to get it working. However i know of a patch which Bioware is bringing out some time soon, hopefully this will address the issue. Good luck, and keep and eye out for it.

I had this error once and it turned out part of the game was on a bad sector of the harddrive. I reinstalled the game and no problems since. I since replaced the harddrive and in over 40 hours the game has not given me the error. Check your harddrive. If it is not that then I am not sure why you get that error.

I think mine is due to mods. My Golems wouldn't work until I turned off all of my 3rd party mods. It has now loaded, I saved as soon as it loaded, but I haven't played through it yet. I'm hoping that if I can get through it I can transfer my save to Witch Hunt and it will work, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've had this problem too, and have been unable to rectify it. I'm going to see if I can get 1.0 to work as opposed to just trying 1.1
