this was a planed trilogy from the begging, they didn’t decide to make quick cash in sequels because the first one sold well, and in case you did not notice, lord of the rings was also a trilogy.

Lord of the rings had 3 novels, Jason Bourne had 8 of them and the chronicles of narnia had 7.

Next time use better examples.

you are right lord of the rings was a trillogy

it wasnt lorf of the rings 1-3

come up with another name, I am telling you its lazy just to say masseffect  1 - 4 on it. look at oblivon and morrowing, its the third in the eldrescroll series but the game is called Oblivion.

your not getting it,

I read Fellowship of the rings, the twp towers and return of the king.

I read the bourne supremancy, the bourne ultimatum.

lion the with and the wardrobe, prince caspian etc.

while they may be the third book in the series its not how you remember them, man jason bourne 2 was great. no one says that.

Lazy or not, but putting numbers after the title helps a great deal to put them "in order". Especially for those who are new to the series.

Just look at Rambo, can you tell what's their order if you had no prior knowledge?

I can't remember all the times I started reading a fantasy novel only to find out it was actually the second book out of a series.
Like me, most consumers are idiots.

It could be Mass Effect: The Origins, Mass Effect: Against Suicidal Odds, or something like that, but it isn't.
Changing titles, or the system of titles in the middle of a trilogy doesn't make any sense.

Me too. In fact, i'm still laughing.

On topic: I think Mass Effect doesn't need a long title... Besides, how would you fit a long title in the logo? I like it as it is, clean and stylish.

Mass Effect: earth is actually the most retarded planet in the universe with a ****ed up future ahead, the future's future is way better?

Mass Effect 3
or
Mass Effect: Just Blow **** up and save the galaxy, simple.:wizard:

or Mass Effect: Euthanize the Retarded Pointless monkies of the universe who're a liability and or definitely pointless and is in some commander guy's way with it's pointless ****, why sympathize for a system of pure ignorance that is invaluable in reality?

This.

They already have Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2.  It makes no sense to call the finale "Udina Strikes Back" and break the mold of the established title sequence.

Also this is a rather petty thing to complain about if I may say so.  Who cares what the game is called, as long as it's awesome?

Dude, Mass Effect 2 *DID* have a subtitle: its actual name is "Mass Effect 2: Fight for the Lost".

I hope you don't mind if the next is "Mass Effect 3 + subtitle"?

"Udina strikes back" haha

I think its too easy for the name to be crap, they're better off the way it is. Theres only so many words ending in -tion they can use for stuff, let them save it for books and comics.

On that note though, it might get a little complicated when they start making games that dont involve Shepard. They'd have to re name it to an extent then, maybe? But i guess Mass Effect can refer to anything/anyone
