I have a stupid problem with probably an easy fix, but I can't figure how to even start the game as soon as I get to the screen with the computer and it says new game ...I can't seem to click on it to start, or click enter on my keyboard...very frustating, can someone help?

I bought MassEffect2 loaded it on my Windows7 OS it loads until I get to the screen where it displays NewGame, Extras, ect...my problem is clicking on New Game does absolutely nothing...it won't open up a new game...as a matter of fact, it's just not possible to navigate that screen at all...I'll click away and try to enter things thru my keyboard...but nothing is responding...I'm not frozen...just incapable of getting things started
