There are many Dragon Age characters out there. Why not have a co op mode so those custom characters can work together.
Dragon age co op? Does that sound good too you?

There isn't any need to have co-op in the game and it loses some/most of the strategy you could have planned solo.

To many, the most fulfilling part of the game is relating to the companions, discovering their stories, and interacting with them on quests. It's a huge part of the game. It IS the game. Without that, the story is entirely gone except for an end goal. It's the antithesis of an RPG.

This has been address quite a few times. If DA was to go Co-op is would have to be like BG and NWN 1 and 2 mod types in order for it to work. Otherwise bioware would just be getting their hands really dirty in the mess sort of way so..... NO!

Oh no !
Why are all these people dropping by just to say no ?
It's a decent enough idea, and people who doesn't want them could simply, you know, no co-op.

I wish. Me, my cousin, and my best bud still get online and play games with each other every weekend even though we have long stopped living next to each other and are separated by hundreds of miles each. Baldur's gate 2 just happens to be the one we have clocked the most hours on. I was sad when I heard the successor of Baldur's gate didn't have a multiplayer feature.

A way to meet up with characters made by other players would be nice, but co-op mode? Not the right game, I guess, buddy.

Because then the resources that would be used to make DA2 a solid, good quality RPG would be split up into a mediocre/crappy main campaign and pointless, unending co-op.
There are dozens of other games that provide those features, play those instead.

Dragon Age is single player. I want the development and everything to be put toward an awesome single player experience. Implementing co-op would take away from that, make less time etc. And I don't understand why everyone wants everything to be co-op these days. /:

Actually, the gameply style they are talking about for DA2 does sound like it would be fun in coop.
Origins coop would have been totally pointless, but with all the cross-class combos and the fast pace, DA2 sounds like it could work nicely.

I think with today's dialogue system, it is impossible to really have fun in a co-op without making major changes especially for this mode.
