I recently thought of something, and couldn't help but wonder if it will be addressed in ME3. Obviously BioWare will most definitely come up with stories involving whether or not characters lived or died over the course of ME2...but I wonder if all o fthe loyalty quests will continue to be relevent. I think Legion and Tali's are the most likely to carry over into ME3, considering they makes a huge impact on current relations with the Geth and Quarians as a whole, but what of the others?

Grunt - If we completed his loyalty then he becomes a normal Krogan and is a part of Clan Urdnot...but what if, for whatever reason, the player opted to not perform his quest at all? How do other Krogans react to him? Is he an outcast? Because he never really found answers to who he is and never really gets over his puberty stages, does he go mad with rage? Is he killed on Tuchanka for being clanless?

Jack - If we completed it, then she likely will come to terms with her past, and if she's a LI (Paragon, I don't remember off hand the renegade side of things...aside from her telling Shep to F-off...which could also be a kind of humorous reaction from her to Shep if we see her in ME3 and this action was taken Image IPB) then she could even be on a road to becoming an all around less crazy person (although I hope that even if this road is taken that she remains a bada**...she was one of my favorite characters, the other being Grunt. She was crazy, but very likeable and all around funny to have around, plus she had numorous redeeming qualities...she is hands-down my favorite female LI in the game) But what if we don't help her complete this quest at all? Does she go completely mad? Become a pirate? End up in prison again? OR does she end up dying/being executed?

Garrus - If it is completed than Garrus either does or does not get his revenge. If he does, then what does he do next? And if not, does he solely seek for retribution, or does he seek a different goal? (Admittedly I know next to nothing about being his LI, or any other one of the Male LIs for that matter...feel free to extrapolate on this..or any other character for that matter, LI or not)

Samara - This one leans more towards what would happen should we complete her quest, rather than if we don't. As whether we refuse or fail her quest, it can be assumed she will spend the remainder of her time hunting Morinth down. But if we succeed, what comes next? The obvious answer would be that she begins hunting down other criminals under the code...but is there any other facet of her character that could be looked at?

Morinth - Similar to above, only she would die or live to fight for Shep. Assuming she lives, what does she do next. I would say this is one of the simpler options, as she would likely go back to her old ways, I doubt any big moral changes would come about through her.

Thane - If we succeed than more likely than not we will see him seeking to better his relationship with his son, but what if we don't succeed? What happens to Kolyat? Does he become an assassin similar to his father? Or does he end up dying, considering he didn't have the skill or finesse his father had? What of Thane himself for that matter?

Miranda - If we help her than she establishes a better relationship with her sister, but, again, what if we don't? Her sister would likely be taken by their father...and where would it go from there? Would the daughter really be worse off in that situation? Or would she end up leading a better life than she did with her foster family? Would she hate her sister after learnign what she did? Or understand what her sister was trying to do for her?

Tali - If we help her, then there are a slew of different outcomes. Ranging form her being exiled but loyal, loyal and retaining Quarian citizenry, to unloyal but retaining citizenry. Plus the advice that Shepard then possibly gives to the Quarians in terms of relationships with the Geth. This can all combine for many possibly story acrs in ME3...but what if we never go to the flotilla in the first place? Does Tali end up being exiled without even an attempt at a trial? Do they eventually free the Alorai and discover Tali's fathers terminal/message on their own? What do they decide, without Sheps opinion, to do about the Geth and their homeworld?

Mordin - Again, a fair number of outcomes, with Mordin either killing or letting Maelon go. Plus he can either seek to help reverse the Genophage, or let it continue. With varying ways of letting Mordin decide on all of this. But what if we never help him? Does Maelon creat a cure? Does Clan Weyrloc conquer Tuchanka? Does that mean we'll have another enemy to fight besides the Reapers in ME3? Or will he simply fail to create his cure and be killed by Weyrloc?

Jacob - To my knowledge, the only two outcomes of this mission are his father dying or being sent to the Aliiance to go on trial, and most likely serve out the rest of his life in prison. But what if we never go? Does he end up dying in the end regardless? Or does another ship respond to his distress signal? If they do, do they not believe his story, or do they save him and believe his every word?

Legion - Either we destroy the heretics or reprogram them, with either greatly or insignificantly affecting relations with the Geth. They may see us as an ally willing to help them save their kind, or as a xenophobic organic willing to destroy their kind, or anywhere inbetween. If we don't do it? Do the non-heretic Geth attack the heretics on their own? Or do the heretics continue to worship the Reapers and remain a threat in ME3?

Zaeed - Either he kills Vido, or Vido gets away and innocent lives are saved. If Vido dies, than I'm sure Zaeed feels absolutley no regret over the innocent lives. But, what if Vido survives, either through escape or the attack against him never happened? Does Zaeed ever get to kill Vido? Or, if the innocents are saved, does Vido retaliate against Zaeed and have him killed?

Kasumi - In the end, if it is attempted, Kasumi will either end up lost in the memories of her lost love, or be forced to delete them to protect those Alliance secrets. If she deletes them or the mission is never completed, does she manage to move on? And if she keeps the files, does she become so ingrossed in them that she does little else? And what if the hidden files are ever discovered? What are the implications for the Alliance?

Basically, these are all questions that aren't likely to get answers, but I intend this as an implications thread. I'm also assuming that all of the characters survived the suicide mission, or else this thread would be pretty moot in point. So, feel free to ponder, what do you think could happen with these characters...and don't just follow my guidelines, what do you see as a possibility for them as well? There are certainly a LOT of things I'm sure I didn't cover, so...add to your hearts content, I'd like to see what you all think reagrding anything about our companions! Image IPB
