Romance options?

I'm in the city of the winged elves. I can't see influence points with companions (as in NWN2) nor romance options. So, is it too early in the game, or am I missing something for the romance to start?
Thank you

(and I can't patch it because... simply I don't know, the update process starts but stops immediately after few minutes) :-(
Have you tried running the critical rebuild, or just used the update button to patch? If you've only tried the update, then you probably will succeed with the critical rebuild.

Hmmm, does it work also with the multilanguage game?
For example, the Italian version can only be patched to v1.68, as can most other foreigns.
I'm guessing most of the community gives recommendations based on you owning an English version. You can lump me into that group, as well. Unfortunately, not as much development was done on foreign versions before BioWare stopped support. Sorry for being the bearer of bad tidings, Vaalyah.

By the way, how am I supposed to patch the game, since the auto-patcher doesn't work and the critical build doesn't either?

A suggestion... this has gone too far off-topic so post in the Tech Help forum a new topic like "How do I patch the Italian version?" or something to that effect. Include all the game information that is listed in the nwconfig.ini (just copy/paste it) in your post. We all would be pleased to help you resolve your patching issues there. (You may even get replies from other running non-English versions there who don't check the campaign forums.)Vaalyah wrote...

This thread should really be limited to "Romance options?" discussion only.
Please.

The problem is that I feel a bit silly in opening 300 threads for asking questions! :-D

I play a female character... by the way, my PC is a female drow, cleric of Eilistraee... and hearing all around tell me "you, creature of the surface" or "you don't understand our divinity" (speaking about Eilistraee) makes me a bit perplexed
In my party there are Deekin (he's adorable ^^ ) and Valen, because I like another character able to kill everything (while I tend to keep Deekin in safe places!)
Any suggestion?
PS: Nathyrra uses the same portrait as my PC... so having her in my party would have been... gross? :-P
Attendo suggerimenti! (trad: I am waiting for suggestions!)

WHAT? I am a cleric of the same divinity!
So, drow or whatever else, I think you are going to get the same reactions :-(
You definitely need Deekin. I love the way he is quarrelling with innocence (false innocence? maybe) with everyone! :-D

The fact that Deekin's doom song can bring an outsider like Valen to his knees begging for mercy is one of my fondest memories. I think Deekin is wasting his potential merely buffing his allies. That doom song could be even more devastating than his curse song!Vaalyah wrote...

I am always a bit perplexed about how romances are developed. And so now? End of the thing? When I am supposed to roleplay the romance if he declared himself and everything is ended?
Am I missing something?

Why not just string him along for a while? Events may transpire in the future to alter your decision. Besides, it's your innate prerogative as a female to manipulate things to your best advantage. No?Vaalyah wrote...
Ok, finally, Valen declared himself to a shocked Vaalyah looking at him like she was thinking he was crazy. They had just spoken about 5 times, or better, he had narrated of his past life about 5 times and then he did his declaration.
