Purchasing Bioware Points Out of Country

 Hi! I am fully aware that my problems with trying to use either CC or Paypal may be a result of an IP address that doesn't match up with the billing information, but I was wondering if Bioware would offer some method of circumventing that.

I ask because my credit card is linked to my only permanent address, in Singapore, but I spend most of my year out on business all over the rest of Asia. I am currently in the Philippines, and would like to get Warden's Keep for the party box, but have been frustrated at every turn. My only recourse seems to be to see if the problems recur if I get my sister to login and use my CC information from Singapore (I will try that tomorrow), as I have phoned my CC and PayPal already on the matter, only to hear that everything is working properly on their ends. However, my sister is going back to Canada next year, and soon I'll only have a single month window with which to grab DA:O DLCs.

Please help.  I can make purchases on the internet with nearly every other merchant, so why the additional security here? Asia is a place with many tiny countries all close together, and if my IP is going to be checked every time I'm out on several-months-long business trips, this is going to get convoluted fast. :|

I tried that, but for some reason it didn't work for me..hope you have better luck. For some reason once you fail it seems like the account gets stuck in some "limbo" and both CC and paypal won't work..

omg does DanKATL ever come in here he supposed to be the moderator well get this guys i tried buying points the other night fill everything out went to purchase and got a failed to verify card

well i tried again tonight wanted to make sure there was money on the card so i checked and guess what there was a 1 dollar charge that was taken off me card be EA .seems strange how it worked for the one dollar but not the other purchases. so i tried again and same msg failed to varify card oh but i bet they took another dollar .what are we just suposed to help each other some help please

I hope they come up wtih something. And like you, I can buy things on other websites (I even bought mass effect this weekend on steam), and yet this site seems to hate me.



Don't mean to spam this forum (3rd reply already). Just hope something gets done for us. Thanks in advance...

Same here, my only permanent Address is in Singapore, and I've been posted to Thailand for a year due to business. I hope they fix it soon.

Poetry: I'll respond to your messages, and here as well. But as I said in the updated sticky a few days ago, I was laid off from EA, and I no longer have any ability to view accounts. I no longer work for the company.



Other than the troubleshooting tips contained in that sticky, I can't help anyone. Make sure you fully read through that sticky, and judging by the continued stream of PMs, a lot of people aren't, if none of those help at all, then open a ticket with help.dragonage.com.

I got the country mismatch error - even though I am in the US and my account is in the US and my billing address is in the US. The system keeps trying to tell me I should be in Canada. Interesting note: A couple years ago EA won the Gartner CRM Award for excellence in their CRM integration. I did the crm integration for the company that took runner up to EA. I know what program they are using for this - and wow. This is what beat my integration? Amazing. This is a horrible integration.
