After installing 1.05 for the PS3, I can no longer load save files; Draogn Age says that they are corrupted.  I last played my important save file a week ago, and now I can't load it or any other save file for that matter.  Over the last few hours of playing before the saves became corrupted, I played through the other 5 origin stories.

I tried deleting the save files for the origins stories that I only played to see all 6, but that didn't help the problem.

My PS3 firmware version is US (NTSC) 3.41 on a Slim.  You could probably guess why not firmware 3.42, but in any case, I have a legitimate version of the game.

I eventually said screw it and bought the PC version, so I'll be starting the game again on that now since the PS3 version is unstable.

I think this is the problem I was facing. I posted something at the end of last week about the DLC Equipment not loading on new characters. I realized from reading your post that I had something pop up like this after the patch, but I didn't think about it too much. I redid Golems DLC and everything showed up after that on my new character, except the Sash for some reason (I did complete the achievement for it already). I still haven't done Liliana's Song over again.....

Yeah this happened to me on a previous ps3 update (months ago) lost all my save games bar two which now wont upload correctly to social network, im hopefull I can still use them in DA2 though

This might or might not be related I do not know.
I encountered similar issue when some Sony patch came out few months ago. I got message that the saves are corrupted - only Dragon Age was affected. I decided to wait for a patch and hoped things would be peachy as new update from Sony comes out.

Well now, many weeks later I decided to the play my PS3 DA:O and installed the second Sony patch, as I was too lazy to get up from the comfortable couch I noticed that all but one character were there, but unplayable. When you choose them it says nothing: shows the character is there but no classes, no levels no nothing and you cannot select them. Quite shame really.
But I firmly believe that in my case it was because of the Sony patch I installed on the first time around and the problem occurred straight away. Darn. Me and my dwarven rogue had good thing going there

Ah. And I believe my timescale is totally twisted considering that this update has occurred A long time ago for regular users. I have been using only PC for months. What a completely useless post this is so. I should be ashamed. Bad bad me.
