Im suppsoed to protect Avernus when hes fixing the hole in the vale...... but he just stands still like a gormless erection with a quest marker over his head!

Ive tried leaving and re entering the area, loading up before you first meet him and try over conversations but none of them seem to work anyone know how I could fix this?

This must be an old bug any links to other threads mentioning how to fix this?

Have you fought anything? He says what will happen and after that's done he does indeed stand there with a quest marker...you can then talk to him.

Nope I cant click on him, its like hes not there but he is, ive completed the game and the exspansion pack so im not a complete nub this is my 2nd time through the game and now ive bought all the dlc and this bug has stopped me dead

Ive now tried doing it by working with the deamon in the grey warden armour same bug, except if i walk out of the room and back in trying to reset it the conversation get stuck on repeat and just keeps starting in a loop.



So is there anyway to fix this bug? since i would really like to complete this dlc.

Its good to know im not the only one with the problem, surly this bug must of been found and fixed due to it being one of the oldest dlcs.

I've never seen this bug, and I've played through WK twice recently on 1.04 plus Awakening, some mods, and some (but not all) of the other DLC. Never saw it during multiple previous WK playthroughs on "vanilla no patch" up through 1.02a.



What DLC and/or mods do you have installed?

Ive got dragon age on steam so im guessing its patched up to the max, dlc ive bought it all except the costume packs/gifts.



Ive been looking around on google a bit and it seems this is a fairly common problem as of which there seems to be no cure :S



As for mods none only offical dlc.



Im about to hit 100 hours of game time now lol so ive got my values worth just gutted for completness sake

Knock him back onto the square closest to him with a spell or ability (I used fireball) and voila! Battle begins.
