Alright, I'm not a tech person at all and I don't want to run any risk of messing up my game.
At the moment I have Origins (with Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armour) --> Return to Ostagar and everything works.
On the wish list are Awakening, Leliana's Song; I'll wait with Witch Hunt until the worst of the bugs have been stamped out.
So what is the best order to install the stuff to provide the best chances of not messing things up?
Would that be --> Leliana's Song --> Awakening --> (Witch Hunt, in future) or something else?

I used that exact order (with Witch Hunt, no less) and everything worked fine.
Leiliana's song will affect Awakening's inventory slightly, as will Witch Hunt.

I don't think installing any official DLC in "the wrong order" should mess anything up. Is that something you've heard? I really don't think you have anything to worry about by installing them in different orders.
Lets see... I went Origins, Return to Ostagar, Darkspawn Chronicles,Witch Hunt, Leliana's Song, Golems of Alblahblah, and yet to purchase Awakening.

I think the only problem is that you have to install Awakening, and then re-install patch 1.0.4.
From the 1.0.4 patch notes:
If you install the 1.04 patch prior to installing Awakening, you must run the 1.04 patch installer again after the Awakening install is complete.
There are Awakening specific resources and other assets that will not be patched in properly unless the 1.04 installer detects that Awakening is present and as such will not install those additional resources. In addition, the pre-1.04 installer that comes with Awakening may revert some 1.04 files back - this would result in a game that is apparently missing many of the fixes included with 1.04, while the game config tool still reports it as the 1.04 version.

Has anyone confirmed this? I assume it would have the same problems for the Mac port, but who knows.Marvin_Arnold wrote...

Um, and how do I do that? My game usually auto-patches, I've never installed one manually.
