I have played through Mass Effect 2 several times, and have played it through twice now with all the DLCs. Last time, I had already started the game when I added the DLCs, and had the issue that whenever I would enter one of the secondary bases on the planet after the original base, the game would crash if I took Legion with me.
This is very frustrating to me, first of all because Legion is a great addition to my party and one of my favorite squadmates, and also because I feel like he would have the best input when dealing with an anti-Geth assignment.
If I take anyone else along, the game runs fine, it only crashes with Legion. Is this a known issue, or has anyone else experienced it? Also, is there a fix I can use?

This is a common issue and theres no fix that i know of other than not using Legion.

Apparently, the crash issue that involves taking Legion to the Prometheus Station (I think that's the one) has been reported since the DLC came out. It's something that I don't think it's ever gonna be fixed since you still can advance with the other squad members.

Well then perhaps a better question is, does *everyone* encounter this issue or does it only occur for certain people?

actually i dont even have legion unlocked yet, yet still project overlord wont work... thats the last time i consider buying dlc.

Yeah, same problem here, but the crash only occurs during the "Prometheus Station" segment. I've experienced no issues with having Legion in my squad before, or after, the aforementioned portion of Project Overlord.

I have a different more serious problem. I noticed one other had the same problem as well, haven,t seen any solutions to it though. The game crashes when i attempt to land at the first planet Aeia or something. It is a little annoying, I haven't encountered any problems with the game up until now. Would be nice to know if anyone else had the same problem and/or had a solution to the issue.

Secondly, you havent registered thegame on the forums, which leads us to conclude you are running a pirated version. If its legit, register it, and we'll see what we can do to help.

I know this is an old post but I'm having a similar problem. During Project Overlord the game crashes after the the first secondary base. I have Tali and the asari with me. I only tried a reload so far, it's getting late/early and I don't feel like starting the whole mission over without knowing the problem. It's my first run-through of the game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If it crashes at the sme spot, its normally indicative of a corrupted save game. For some reason, Overlord is slightly more prone to crashing than other parts of the game. If it still crashes after a few reload attempts, all we can suggest is restart the entire mission from scratch.

I know this is an old thread. I was having this problem today. I solved it by changing the sniper rifle Legion was carrying to the Widow I tried this more than once and it seemed to work
