I couldn't find a script that removes and stores a creature's equipment (the classic "PC goes to jail" scenario) so I made something here.

It's a bit rough-and-ready, so, as always, feel free to improve.

I've replaced my first effort with a more elegant general script here.

The new version moves stuff from one creature / placeable to another, with options to unequip / equip and handle money correctly.

I'm finding this useful for the reverse process, too - for example, when an NPC has to change clothes, they can load the new outfit from a nearby invisible wardrobe.

I haven't seen your scripts: you store the equip in a non-active creature or placeable, and then re-take it?

It's a fairly general routine for moving items from A to B, with options, so you could do that.

Currently, I'm using it when the player is jailed to move money and all items except clothing to a usable sack elsewhere in the castle.

Also, a turncoat NPC wearing neutral clothing needs to declare for one of two factions by equipping armour of the appropriate colour. The armour sets are stored nearby in invisible placeables. I move the appropriate armour into their inventory and equip it.

The function supports many variations on these themes.

Nice, I was looking for an example on how to use the unequip/equip item function and the slots.
Thanks for sharing.
