1) Legion is a genderless, emotionless, geth platform inhabited by 1183 geth runtimes. Tali also hates it. There are people into that pairing, but to put this in polite words, their predilection's are incongruous and concupiscent.

2) There is no evidence of anyone other than Shepard being a romantic interest for Tali as of ME2.

3) This is a really hot button issue for some people, you are free to discuss it but I'm giving you a heads up, some people might get hostile.

I'm reminded of a commentary track by Claudia Black for Farscape, where she mentions her odd accent with its mixture of Australian/British. As others couldn't full replicate it, it meant the Peacekeepers ended up having whatever accent belonged to the actor, I suppose. So I wondered if the other actors were allowed to go with whatever accent they felt suited the personality rather than choosing an accent that mimicked Liz Sroka's.

Part of me thinks it's a shame because the accent gave so much the quarian mystique in ME1. But then the different accents also demonstrate that while they're 17 million people in one fleet, they still maintain unique groups within the larger population.

I read somewhere that Liz (Tali's voice) made up the accent sortof based on eastern Euro but mostly just made up for Mass Effect.  When ME2 came, there were more Quarians so they (mostly) tried to emulate her made up accent to give effect.  Some actors did better (like Shala Raan) and others didn't even try (like the rest of the admiralty board) even though they sounded good anyway.

That's why at least getting those two to be friends would be so much fun is because she hates Geth but Legion doesn't hate her at all and would poke holes in her emotional reason for hating the Geth.

Tali and Legion having some mutual respect, perhaps developing a friendship at some point is all I can see.

I have to disagree the whole Geth/Quarian conflict is going to be brought to an end and the only way that its going to end in peace (Which would be the paragon option) is if a person from each side (Tali and Legion) at the very least gain a level of respect for one another. Both of these characters are like the messangers of their specie. That's why we have Shepard he/she is able to talk people into being friends.

The fight between Tali and Legion should really not determine the outcome of their entire people's future.

Mostly because there would be little to no logic behind it.

all that fight does is giving hope of that the geth and the quarians can live side by side in peace.

Tali giving Legion data made no sense to me, especially if you had done her loyalty mission mostly renegade and then picked intimidate for the fight.

You don't have to be friends to not shoot at each other. I know this. Tali tolerates Legion if you take the paragon options and actually do activate him.

It would have been interesting to see how many people would have activated Legion if:
1) You were told up front how much you could get for selling it
2) The credit reward was higher
3) Tali asked you not to do it

My main objection to Tali/Legion is that geth don't have a sex drive and are just beginning to understand the concept of emotions. The geth don't really have a concept of romantic love. Tali and Legion might become comrades or friends, but I don't see them as lovers. I'd be more inclined to pair her with Kal or someone we haven't met yet.

I always found a few of the upgrades that certain characters had on hand as a little perplexing. Sure Garrus would know something about guns but things like Tali knowing about a new type of sheild seemed strange to me. If anything I thought the extra probe upgrade or extra fuel would make more sense for her character because Quarians try to make the most out of what they have on hand.

I still think that mineral probe upgrade would be a much more suitable match for Tali especially because the Migrant Fleet strip mines planets for recourses they'd need to have a whole lot of probes to find where the mineral were located. If any character should have had the sheild it would should have been Legion because apparently the Geth have the best sheilds in the galaxy (Heck his loyalty skill is Geth Shield) But I guess it really don't matter who gives what upgrade but I do remember either Samara or Than giving the probes and I was thinking "What in your job discription would require you to find minerals??" lol
