How is it flawed?
Because you are literally saying that ME2 squad mate WON'T come back as squad mates in ME3 when you don't actually know. But it's very useless arguing with you. I remember the old Kraidy. Now that guy was cool.

If Liara was not a LI, I would agree with you. Liara however is a LI and does it would not be fair again to have the ME2 LI to be squadmates. Liara being a non squadmate shows us that we will be getting a new squad. People can bitch and moan, but guess what? It happen with us Ash, Kai and liara fans and we still bought the ME2. Tali fans got alot of rewards for them, and it's time they stopped expecting Bioware to bend backwards for them.XX55XX wrote...

Eithewr does Tali's popularity, isnce her popularity dropped when LotSB came out. Tali will get a cameo and if people won't buy a game because one character will not be a squadmate, that is just poor. You had two full games with her, a cameo in the last game is not going to hurt you.Runescapeguy9 wrote...
Kasumi had popularity at one point too for about a month. Now look.kraidy1117 wrote...
If Tali is so popular, then why in the latest survey Liara beat her? She is not as popular as you think because majority of the Tali fans will jump onto the next big thing while the minor fans who do like her for her character will stay with her.
Surveys mean nothing. Dollar signs do.
Now, now, let's not jump into conclusions here. Tali will have a role in ME3. But what role will that be? It is unknown at this point.
And just because they wrote the narrative for one character a certain way doesn't mean that they will apply that method to writing every character's narrative.

Liara got her own ****ing DLC.
If that's not bending over backwards for a fanbase, then you, kid, have a highly skewed sense of how **** works.

How LotSB end? Do you remeber? Liara became the SB and tells you right up front, she won't be with you in the fray, she will be a supporter. Liara is unkillable. Tali is killable. They won't waste resources on something that will only pleese one part of the fanbase when many people won't even see it. Thus new squadmates so everyone is at the level. You can still have your romance, you just won't have her in the squad. She can do better as support character.NuclearBuddha wrote...
There's no reason to be like this unless you're just trying to be jerky. Lair of the Shadow Broker has suggested that BW is committed to bringing back the characters we care about and giving them the treatment they deserve. Tali and the entire team included. It's unfortunate you feel the need to goad others about this.kraidy1117 wrote...

If you guys would like to discuss Liara, I suggest you take it to the Liara thread. Now.
I would also argue that discussing whether the squadmates will return should be taken to it's appropriate thread, as well.

As I've said, Lair of the Shadow Broker is really about the entire squad, since Liara is nice enough to have kind words for many of them.Mobius_118 wrote...

I know I got a thrill about the "had vested interest in less competition" line RE: Tali.

No, they really won't. As I said earlier, VA are payed by project. Not by time put in. Getting Tali one line would cost the same as recording hours of content.kraidy1117 wrote...

I second this.
How about we discuss if Tali will change in personallity like Garrus did. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Will she "harden" like Lelianna in DA:O or will she stay the same?

Please stop. We're on page 11. Shame if we got it locked now over this bickering. There is a thread for this discussion here: ME3 Squad Composition Discussion

There's much less of a mentor/student relationship w/ Tali than there was w/ Garrus.Wolf Warden wrote...

I would say it depends on how the geth/quarian war turns out. If her people become crippled by a senseless war against the geth, then I daresay that she would "harden".

How true that is.... Money talks, and well.... You know what walks, lol.
Personally I think that Tali and pretty much everybody will return, Bioware was smart to keep most of the ME1 characters in reserve, as you need at least two characters at you're side at the endgame of ME2 to survive the Collector Base mission, that means that even if all the other characters die, you still have yourself, those two that were with you when you escaped, Liara, Virmire Survivor, and perhaps one or two new characters.
It's still worthwhile to record dialogue for squadmates so that there are people who have all 15 survive both games, and even if there are those who die, there are still at least four party members that you can choose from, a little limiting, but I am sure that Bioware said that they are making these games with a policy of "you reap what you sow".
Besides, what would be the point of keeping the entire ME2 crew alive if they all just ditched you out of nowhere and ended up as cameos? There is also the arguement that story-wise, the Reapers are right on the horizon, there's really no time to make a new crew yet again, and Shepard needs to get going!
Well anyway, high hopes for Tali coming back!

Go talk to Gaider. He stated that making a character a squadmate takes them ost resources. They will not waste those resources on osmething not everyone will have.Runescapeguy9 wrote...

I see her leaning slightly on the renegade side either way Shepard behaves. She's remarkably steadfast in her own ways, she doesn't even back down to Shepard in arguments.Wolf Warden wrote...
