Why did that require a double post....?
In any case, the quarian admiralty is not like an ambassador. The meetings would go on for forever in a war situation. Tali would not make a good admiral and I stand by it.

Edit: Talitastic Top

It'd be a waste of her talents too. She's an engineering prodigy. She figured out a counter-measure to the Collector's anti-starship weapon on her own. Dealing with politics would be a waste of time.

She's good at following orders related to tech. But Freedom's Progress, Haestrom, and the Suicide Mission are reason enough for her not to be given any leadership authority--They wind up in near-complete failure with Tali leading.

Some people are simply natural followers rather than leaders. So long as they're fine being under the orders of someone else, that works.

Agreed. As I have said many times before, she can do more for her people and for the galaxy fighting by Shepard's side than on some useless board of admirals.

I agree. Better off helping Shepard then sitting around with a bunch of bickering admirals over what color the carpet in the flagship should be.

Kal'Reegar and Veetor coming to Tali's defense at the trial is one of my favorite moments in the game. It is just so awesome to see the two people she helped save come to the defense of their friend.

Bah.  I ULB.  I've had a problem with sharing ever since kindergarten.

1. Tali becomes an admiral.
2. Tali convinces the other admirals to override the Conclave over some issue (probably the geth)
3. Tali is forced to resign from Admiralty board due to the law.
4. Tali leaves to rejoin the fight with Shepard.

I like how you think.

I hope this is all done over a few days/weeks
I can't trust Kenneth to keep my ship so well maintained.
He believed me when I said I was a rookie at Skyllian Five

Hey if Tali'Zorah saves your sorry ass you better do something to commemorate that. Carpeting will just have to be a start

Edit: Okay, maybe we can comprimise and make it Red. :bandit:

There is also black and gold on her suit too.

The patterns are pretty awsome as well.

But there I go waxing goddam nostalgic.

I dont see Tali as a good admiral really.

She's an engineer, not a leader. She should be able to follow her passion. And I guess the carpet could be gold and/or black. We can agree on that at least

Edit: You know what, lets make it black with purple and gold designs :o

Funny idea for Admiral Tali...

Tali fills a vacancy on the Admiralty board. You convince the Quarian people and Admiralty board to make peace with the Geth. However, the Conclave, made up of old fogeys out of touch with reality and the opinions of the Fleet *coughARTIMITATESLIFEcough*, are obstinate and still want to take on the Geth. So, Tali's first, last, and only act as an Admiral is to vote for a Conclave dissolution, which as we know results in the dissolution of the Admiralty board as well.

So..Tali becomes the first Overlord of the Quarian people in the last 300 or so years?

I just thought I'd remind everyone that I hate pyramid quotes. People are reading the same thread as you, you don't need to include five posts worth of quotes in your replies. Leave only what's needed so that people get a sense to who or what you're replying. Thank you.

Tali being a bad leader is pretty obvious. The game only smacks it over your head a billion times!

I only need to be told once in Haestrom. That was bad enough for Tali and the player. Tali doesnt seem to be a person who copes well with guilt. Imagine her being in shepard's job. Its for the best she isnt an admiral.

Being a military leader and being a political leader take two different sorts of people. I think an Admiral is more a political figure. I don't think Tali fits in either one, though. She could be a science project manager.

ETA: The only other person I can see the game smacking you in the head with more about poor leadership skills is Zaeed. At least some quarians make it out alive with Tali.

Her leadership abilities do not impress. Her talents are better used in the field.

I think she's honestly better off with Shepard. There would definately be some speculation of her being a science manager after what her father was guilty of ( didnt tell the admirals, but Xen may have found out on her own.)

Edit: She is better off in the field, I agree. Best support Ive ever had. I use Chikkita whenever Tali's cooldown is finished.

Edit #2: Pacifen, what happened to being the Pirate of Bioware? That was unique! You woulda been famous for it.... YEARGH!

I really think Tali is just too young and inexperienced to be put in charge of something as important as the leadership of an entire species.
