I'm confident that if you romance Tali you'll we'll be able to see her face.
AND NOT BE A FLOATING CAMERA THIS TIME

You just know "Will we get to see Tali's face?" will be one of the most popular fan questions when they get to that phase of marketing.

I bet it will
note: what do you think Tali looks like?

Now that i think of it, didn't one of the developers actually say they know what Tali's face will look like?

I could have just made that up in my head, can anyone confirm or deny?

Casey Hudson.
A lot of crap comes from him though.

Yeah, it's best to take what ever Hudson says with a grain of salt. The man is a master at vague dev-talk that neither confirms nor denies anything.

Okay so i read the OP and basically everything around about posting here. I don't enjoy spamming or breaking the rules so i might as well double check to make sure before i go off and break some rule and ruin it for everyone. Can we advertise Shepard/Tali Fanfiction if we don't spam it?

well obviously they know what tali's face looks like, but they are probablly refering to the mesh under the mask with the eyes, final design though? Probablly not.

I see no problem with it. But a link in the signature would probably be enough. Just add something at the bottom of a post that contributes. Any other questions can be pm'ed to me though, here isn't the best place.

Here is the thing about Tali's face, I don't think i would truly care what it looked like simply because that is not the thing that I fell in love with. If her face looks anything like her personality then she will honestly blow me out of the water. We can just rely on the environmental evolutionary theory on what they would look like. To make any solid or any good arguments with any facts besides the vague humanoid shape of her face we would have to see what Rannoch looks like and what the other animals look like. Until then everything is complete speculation.

I really don't care what she looks like as long as it isn't a palette swapped human like the asari are.

I want some damn imagination for my science-fiction aliens.

This is honestly my favorite picture. Just because it looks nice, and I can see the reasoning behind it.

I do want to see some imagination too, but they are still limited to a generaly humanoid shape so I wouldn't expect too much deviance from that main fact.

top (That picture where Tali looks human)

Its a beautiful picture, but Tali looks far too human in it for my taste. Asari are already too human looking and they're blue. These are aliens people, the sky is the limit, be creative!

Every alien race except hanar and elcor are humanoid. They've got plenty of room for creativity.

I'm hoping for something that is at least as alien looking as the drell are. A nose and two eyes is very vague and plenty awesome designs can be done with it.

Well... I hope she dosn't look like the "Predator" under there, however as shep still "went through" with it after she removed her mask, I'm assuming she's not "too different".

Well thats the kind of idea I'm going on. It couldnt've have been really bizarre ( in human standards), I'm not expecting a human clone, But what I can gather is that it's still a humanoid face. More alien then Asari, but less than turian, something like that.

I think, if they reveal Tali's face in me3, that a lot of people are gonna be disappointed no matter what she looks like. So i hope they wont fully reveal her face. Maybe little more details of her face, like a mouth or eyes or back of her head without the hood/helmet.

If they show anything they have to show everything. And if people are disappointed they're in it for the wrong reasons. A copy-pasted human face, for me, wouldn't be a negative aspect of the character but a missing potential positive feature.

The thing that I would be highly impressed if the could allow would be the inclusion of hair in the quarian physiology, it would clearly make them separated from the other species. As I stated elsewhere on the internet, I have many ideas about their whole physical build through evolutionary practicality (that was a mouth-full).

Legs- The legs of the quarians are long, built and their shins are recurved. This would show sprinting to be important to their evolutionary standards showing that they were most likely carnivorous in nature, this brings up the sharp vs non-sharp teeth, but if you look at Rannoch's light dust over of information, the planet has plants that relay on the larger animals to pollenate and spread their seed. This leads to their eating.

Teeth-If they are purely carnivorous, then their teeth would most likely have evolved into sharp teeth, i would expect something like dogs, but looking at the nature of the plants of Rannoch, it is safe to assume that they were more likely Omnivores which hold the back grinding teeth and the sharp front teeth for tearing. So if they do actually eat the plants on Rannoch then they would have teeth similar to humans. Teeth seem like the most reasonable evolutionary trait since most other known forms of chewing would almost be inadequate.

Necks- If you look at the necks of male and female quarians they are different. males tend to have more, to the shoulder necks while females have longer necks. Evolutionarily speaking this shows some common traits to primal survival. The males would have been more of the hunters while the females would stay back and guard the young and other protection to the homefront. Seeing as Rannoch is arid I would assume that most of planet would be tall grasses. Females would need the elongated necks to see over the grass as much as humans stood on two feet. This increased neck length allows for a better look around like a prairie dog. Males have shorter necks and the shorter necks are thicker. This would be caused from them putting their "necks" on the line more when they go out and hunt, knowing that in every environment a species of something is always stronger in some way over the other.

Fingers and Toes- I have looked at the fingers for some time. The best i have come up with is that they would forage inside of small holes or other narrow places where they needed to have slender hands. Having only three fingers would be another issue to look at. I would guess that having less fingers was simply from only needing three though it is still a tough idea. I would say it helps keeping their hand slender when they grabbed the things inside of the narrow places. Feet fit with three toes. I could see this for the fact that most species develop the same number of outer appendages on their hands and feet. (just look at your own hands and feet, unless you are horrible deformed) I would see the higher toe as more of a mating assistant, but I won't go into detail about that subject.

Eyes- Her eyes are hotly debated. Do they glow, do they act like cat's eyes, or is their implants in them. I have wondered if their eyes shared a bio-luminescence nature. During the night they glow but during the day they shine partially like cat's eyes. I would see it as a friendly greeting during the night to know who you are talking to and it could me used to finding a mate, or to recognize a mate, or to simply see in the dark. If they tint their visor, then they could solve all of those problems in one go, but the eyes are very high up on speculation.

That's all i can think of right now. Be back when I can figure out some more or if there are questions. These are open to discussion, I don't hold any of these right, they are just my opinions.

Since quarians come from a planet with no insect life I can see them having hair if they evolved to help spread pollen/whatever.
