that is a very possible, very alien, which would be pretty interesting. Strange hair would be interesting.mrsph wrote...
Since quarians come from a planet with no insect life I can see them having hair if they evolved to help spread pollen/whatever.

Also on the topic of hair, if the plants did indeed rely on mammals to spread pollen, hair would be a necessity.

Not backwards. Simply curved to a degree.camoboy_19 wrote...
Aren't Quarians' legs sorta backwards? like the knee bends the other way? That might prove to be a challenge of Shepard-like porportions.

Perhaps more tellingly, she runs heel-toe, so she's definitely not digitigrade.

And necessity is the wrong word. It would only be the most obvious way for a terrestrial mammal to carry pollen around. For all we know, large animals on Rannoch could have microscopic cilia covering they're bodies adapted for capturing pollen.
Not that I'm suggesting they do. I'm trying to get away from all this speculation, fictional races are designed by artists, they don't evolve.

Okay so i read the OP and basically everything around about posting here. I don't enjoy spamming or breaking the rules so i might as well double check to make sure before i go off and break some rule and ruin it for everyone. Can we advertise Shepard/Tali Fanfiction if we don't spam it?
Pacifien says yes. She even said shorter stuff could be posted into the thread.

Necks- If you look at the necks of male and female quarians they are different. males tend to have more, to the shoulder necks while females have longer necks. Evolutionarily speaking this shows some common traits to primal survival. The males would have been more of the hunters while the females would stay back and guard the young and other protection to the homefront. Seeing as Rannoch is arid I would assume that most of planet would be tall grasses. Females would need the elongated necks to see over the grass as much as humans stood on two feet. This increased neck length allows for a better look around like a prairie dog. Males have shorter necks and the shorter necks are thicker. This would be caused from them putting their "necks" on the line more when they go out and hunt, knowing that in every environment a species of something is always stronger in some way over the other.
Yay! More agreement with Rannoch: planet of savannahs.

But to tell the truth, I never paid particular attention to Tali's neck in either game (although I thought she had a graceful form, overall)...is this an established thing, that she has a particularly long neck?
