Heh agreed - Jakob is the dumbes bully to tease Tali the way he does. I mean she's not virulent, but I wouldn't show her my back after that.

"And don't forget to introduce yourself to the onboard AI."

If he wasn't trying to purposefully be nasty, then he's REALLY oblivious.

Both options are equally unpleasant.

IIRC, if you ask Ashley about the geth on Eden Prime, she tells you about how they were created by the quarians and so on, and that this was something she learned in school. From that I assumed that knowledge of the geth and their origins was something that was fairly common knowledge. For Jacob to forget such a thing is a bit daft on his part. Having him and Miranda be the ones to greet new squadmates irritated me, because they both have the people skills of a tree frog.

I don't think Jacob was deliberately antagonising her, though. Why would he? He has no reason to dislike Tali.

Jacob isn't the fastest gun in the locker, if you know what I mean.

Tali got over what Jacob says eventually, but it must be hard for her to sleep some nights with the thought of an AI with that sorta power.

Off-topic, but do you think that Saying "Geth" On the flotilla is like saying "Bomb" on an airliner?

Like saying scale itch on Palaven

I'm not seeing the link. Are varren native to Palaven? Or am I missing a joke?

And Jacob didn't really have a reason to dislike Thane either, yet he's hostile to him from the get-go. He might not have appreciated Tali's overt dislike of Cerberus and decided to get back at her.

I'll be honest. I think Tali was totally in the wrong for how acted towards Jacob. There was really no reason to start insulting him when he was being nice and cordial to him.

I got it he was a bit pissed to her, about her being hard on Cerberus, so he tried to retaliate on her a bit. But I think Tali's got rules simmilar to Aria's. Shepherd excluded ^_^

#1 your only saying that cause you're a Jacob fan! I know you lol
#2 Jacob didn't have to be so blunt about it
#3 I think Jacob mightve been getting back at Tali for what she said about Cerberus on Freedom's Progress.

1: You're only saying the opposite because you're a Tali fan.
2: Tali didn't have to be so rude about her response.
3: Jacob would probably agree with what she said about Cerberus. He doesn't trust TIM either.

Both of them could have thought it through a little more.

Agreed. Although, in Tali's defence, at least she was being open about it. Jacob's line was the equivalent of a kick below the belt.

But Y'know it's like saying "all army guys are morons" to your fellow soldier buddy on his permit*. He might agree, dont expect him to be all frendly afterwards though.

* Or whatever it is called when solders gets a permision to leave the unit for a short time. I'm not native speaker - in case you didn't figured that jet ;).

I'd be pretty upset if I was Jacob as well. If you try to be nice to someone and that person starts insulting you well...you tend to get pretty miffed.

Ugh, I wish there was more character interaction so I could tell if they ever started to get along.

That'd be nice of Bioware to put in. in DA:O it was pretty clear who got along and who didnt.

Hint: Witches hate EVERYBODY
Hint #2: No one is afraid to talk to your gf about being your gf while youre standing there.

I'm pretty sure Tali will slowly adopt Shepard's view of "good people working with the wrong group" view. I understand her animosity towards Cerberus, her hostility towards Jacob was not unwarranted. After the suicide mission however, both Jacob and Miranda support Shepard's decision to destroy the base, which could perhaps sway Tali to be a bit more friendly towards Jacob. Come ME3 I'm sure they will build some sort of rapport.

Hell... in the middle of my first playthrough I almost started to belive The Ilusive man that  the Cerberus wasn't actualy all that bad. They had their mistakes evry political power has but sometimes ends do justify means. Cerberus worst issue is lack of any jurisdiction above. Ilusive man doesn't response to anyone - thats why their dengerous. Still they are capable to do a lot of good. In fact they ae pretty much like Shadobroker. If in good hand they can do univers a great favor.

Do any of you guys know which dialog choice for Shepard's speech triggers the scene with Tali and Engineer Adams looking up at the intercom?

I kept all this in mind

1. Cerberus attacked Flotilla
2. long chain of quests in ME1 to attack Cerberus
3.Cerberus has killed Alliance personnel
4. Cerberus is called Terrorist for a reason
5. A middle-aged man smoking a cigar is never a good sign.

The entire time I was on the defense against anything Cerberus, by the time you hit the Collector ship, you should be fully prepared for the jack***ery that the Illusive Man unleashes on you.

She didnt insult him personally but told him how she feels about cerberus, his was a much more personal stab, either through malice or absent midedness.

#1 the same kind of thing could be said about Tali fans. Saying someone only has an opinion because they favor a character is a very trollish tactic dont use itPosted Image

#2 Same could be said of Tali although I agree that what jacob said was much more personal

#3 Which particular Tali quote are you talking about here?

#1: Didn't mean it like that, was meant harmlessly
#2 Jacob's attack is personal, Jacob is supposedly not trusting of TIM
#3 Sorry not Tali, Prazza. Was pretty sure Tali said something but she's pretty level-headed there.

Im not sure how Tali would feel about old yeller, theres not really a current quarian anolouge to the boy and his dog analogy.

That would be entertaining if in ME3, we could see the trailer for Fleet and Flotilla
