And, why exactly wouldn't they just show Tali's face?GodWood wrote...
They could just show a random unmasked quarian to give an idea at what she may sort of look like.
Please don't come with that random "Oooh, it's the enigma" or "People have their perfect image of her now" stuff, that's just shallow. Whatever Tali looks like, it's her personality that drew us in; if you're romancing her because of the way you think she looks, you should consider Liara or Miranda instead.

It was a suggestion absed on the fact that others apparently do not want to see her.Thundertactics wrote...

Its silly that everyone in the universe knows except the player.

What I'm trying to say is, if you are against showing Tali's face simply because it would ruin your perception of her, I consider that rather low; apparantly her personality isn't enough for you. Hence you should stick with an already defined character you may consider good looking or whatever.Pacifien wrote...
Liara and Miranda have completely different personalities from Tali. Everyone likely has an image in their mind of what Tali looks like and, as it's a roleplaying game, I don't see the problem with this. People will need to adjust their perceptions if Tali's or any quarian's face is revealed, but until that time comes, anyone is free to think of her as an elven beauty to something out of HR Geiger's mind. Discussing this issue only gives each person a perspective into their own imagination.
I lean toward HR Geiger.
(By the way, this usage of the second person is meant to be plural, not directed towards you, Pacifien)
Same counts for "The enigma", I fail to see how "mystery", or rather an omission of facts, could somehow determine your attraction towards Tali. Tali has a face of sorts, deal with it.
Sure, I have my own interpretation of Tali's face, but I won't suddenly be turned off or upset if BioWare decides to debunk it; I like Tali as a love interest for who she is, not for what she looks like.
edit:
Not directed towards you, personally. Mainly against the whole "not showing her face" discussion going on, in which you were participating.GodWood wrote...

Also, considered adding Jack in there, but my visits to the regular forums so far have indicated I'm one of the few who actually likes her personality and looks. And for that she didn't really fit the "for the looks" choice of LI I tried to outline. (Not saying Liara and Miranda are shallow like that, merely implying they are more fit to be romanced for such reasons)

Had to look up HR Geiger for reference. Interesting. Judging Tali's more human-like facial features Image more on par with Asari. Human enough but not quite. Definately no She-elf.
I look at it this way. It's the future, the Quarians were once apart of the council races with an embassy. I sure Shepard could tap into some archive and pull up a Quarian Ambassador's speech arguing a case to remain apart of the council races despite breaking the ban on AIs. Fans who are curious are only asking for context in which to frame Tali's appearace. I'm sure the Quarians have a wide range of facial features just as they do with different accents.
I would also like to see the Female versions of Turians, Krogans, Salarians as well as what a Volus looks like under their encounter suit. I don't like unsolved mysteries.

I would be happy with plain or average. I confess, I would be disappointed if they looked like Vorcha.

This is what I am hoping for too. Maybe with a little "wear and tear" to show you how stressful her life really is.

The way I'd imagine her face to be is humanoid enough that people can still find her physically attractive, but sufficiently different that there is no mistaking her for anything but an alien. Still, two things I most definitely do NOT want to see are, A: purple skin, and B: a "bumpy forehead".

That'd probably be the best way to do it. That way, any Tali romancer can be happy. There's positiity on either decision, so no one is necessarily being better than the other.Spartanburger wrote...

They wouldn't show her face because Bioware already passed up the best opportunity to do so when she first revealed her face to Shepard. Showing her face now would be fanservice and fanservice sucks.
I'm with Godwood on this one. Show us some other quarian so that we know what the species looks like, but keep Tali hidden behind the veil.

I am one of those Tali fans who like her for her personality as well as the 'air of mystique' about her face. I leave it up to my imagination on what Tali looks like, regardless, it's her charm and personality that draws me in. If they decide to show her face, however, I wouldn't mind, it would be nice and bring satisfaction to see what she looks like. If not, then "Oh well". Part of human nature is curiosity and being attracted to the novel, exotic, and unknown, which just adds to Tali's charm. Many people like Tali because of that very nature.

You do know that Tali's romance was made because the fans requested it, right?
Same with Garrus.

I believe the majority love Tali because of her personality and devotion to the cause. Not to mention that she's one of the elements vital to Mass Effect 1 (Where else were you going to get proof on Saren?). With all this said, it wouldn't hurt to give her a face. Her personality is magnetic, her figure is attractive, but we are still curious about her face, not as motivation to like her but as an peice of her character we still look for to understand her.Runescapeguy9 wrote...

So you're saying that being attracted to the mundane is human nature? People in general are attracted to novelty. To some people it ADDS to the attraction towards Tali, to some it doesn't. I'm not saying it's THE main reason.
