anyways, back to Tali.....

If Rael lived past the little geth problem, what do you think his opinion of what goes on between Shepard and Tali/ Shepard's mission.

He had a vague idea that there was some chemistry between the two when Tali requested to be transferred to the Normandy. As for the whole 'intimate' experience they had, I think he'd be less than pleased that his beloved daughter, the one he made that solemn promise to, risked her life for it (and for a human, no less). The gravity of the situation would have to be explained in detail to him I think, with a bit of persuasion from his daughter.

Tali is in good hands, however, and all of Shepard's accomplishments would back it up. He'd be furious at first, but  eventually come to understand that Shepard cares for her more, (or at least just as much) as he does. Not to mention that Shepard has the same goal in mind as her father, which is revealed in LotSB.

That's a very nice rendition of Tali unmasked. So do many members in CZ figure Tali will have hair and eyebrows?

It's split pretty evenly, I think.  Most might have a preference, but I doubt many would reject something counter to that preference.

As for "best" it's pretty hard to beat this one.  But this new one might have taken my personal second place away from "dark Tali."

Also, feel free to join up at Clan Zorah.  We'd be glad to have you.

Oh right, I like that one too, but for me it's a tie between that Tali and the new picture.

Its a nice picture but In that one shes just a human in i suit. As as piece of art i think its fantastic, but as THE Tali face i dont care for it.
The new picture is still human-ish, but it has such a unique alien feel to it. It just feels like Tali to me. I can hear her voice coming from that face. I think its perfect.

Over time I can see this happening, but It'd be interesting what Tali's father would do WHILE he's furious, which might comprimise Shepard's safety, or worse, the safety of Tali and the Flotilla.

So not sure what might happen, but I guess we will never honestly know.

Also how do you know he knew? is there info Im missing out on? lol

In the message Shepard gets after Tali is recruited, a message is sent from her father approving her transfer. If you imported a ME1 save with Shepard helping Tali with her Pilgrimage, it mentions something akin to this: 'Your role as her de facto captain during her Pilgrimage may have made her more susceptible to choosing this decision.'

That isn't his direct confirmation of a relationship between the two, just a very subtle acknowledgement/premonition that something might have been going on.

The only thing that would probably stop him from doing something serious would have to be irrefutable proof of a dire situation, for example: The Reaper threat.

Shala'Raan: Why is Rael breaking off from the fleet with a whole battlegroup?
Kal'Korris: What?!?
DAro'Xen: *evil chuckle*
Han'Garel: Aw ****.

Zaal'Koris, ne?

That "zebra" Tali pic is beautiful. Although I couldn't help feeling that I was looking at an Asian girl with makeup. So I'm not sure if it would qualify as THE definitive Tali face for me.

As for how Rael would've reacted to Tali/Shep?

*Rael'Zorah disapproves -50*
*Shepard uses Persuasion option*
*Rael'Zorah approves +10*

We can only speculate on Rael's reaction to a Tali/Shepard relationship. My guess is he would have been very disappointed his only daughter seeking love outside their species. He probably would have lectured Tali on inter species relationships and outward prejeduce she woud have to endure not only from her race but from humans as well. He then would have chastised her for engaging in selfish act which weakens the Quarian race overall. He would also point out she would be unable to bear any children and would regret that decision later on in her life. In order words he would lay a massive guilt trip on her.

He might be furious but this is guy who did one of two things (depending on what you believe about him):

a.  always thought of the Flotilla before Tali

or

b.  only showed he was thinking of Tali through his careful stewardship of the Flotilla.

He's not going to endanger either just because she's disappointed him (or whatever reaction he might have had RE: Shepard).

Edit:

True, but the simple fact that he disapproves might already be a big blow. Because arguments like "you've put your own interests ahead of those of your people/your family/your mission" could cut very deep, in Tali's case. Hearing that a parent is disappointed is never pleasant, but when said parent also gives reasons that you can perceive as true, well...

Not that I'm saying she wouldn't recover or find some way to defuse the situation. But it could be very painful for her.

Oh, sure.  I was just objecting to the idea that he might do some sort of bonkers Flotilla-endangering move.  Just his disappointment would probably be crushing enough, as you point out.

I mean, we're talking about a guy whose daughter was convinced she needed to save to galaxy to get a Pilgrimage gift to live up to his standards.

Rael definately hammer in a strong sense of duty and loyalty into Tali, enough so, that I would suspect had he been alive and disapporved of a relationship,  he would have used her loyalty as the wedge to end Her relationship before it even started. Knowing what we know of Tali's character I'm not so sure her feelings for Shepard are stronger then her sense of loyalty to her people.

I think Bioware should reveal Tali's face, but they should do it in a comic. It's totally win-win for them. They wouldn't have to create a face for Tali in game and a comic that centered on Tali where her face is revealed would be guaranteed to sell. People who don't like her face can continue pretending she looks like something else in game as well.

On the other hand, it would put highly-wanted content in a medium that many of us don't want to be bothered with.

Do you think Tali will pursue a career in politics and become a member of the admiralty board?

On a more "ouch" concept, I suspect their bodies are modified to accommodate the section seals of their suits. I know Tali mentions specifically blocking off a surface infection... wait, now I can't remember what she says. But anyway, a section seal would be of more use the further it can penetrate into the body and seal it off.

Tali mentions that the section seals don't help if the foreign material or infection gets into their bloodstream, which implies to me that the seals only go to the skin surface.

I don't see Tali the politician type person, she doesn't have the selfish, greedy, power hungry traits it takes to be a politician. Plus it seems you need to be half crazed to even want to be involved in Quarian politics. Seems like a job were your constantly bashing her head against to wall to regain sanity.

True polititians are greedy and selfish and stuff. But I can see Tali doing it not for fame and for herself but for her people.  Like she is doing it to get her civilization back on track because she cares about them and there well being.

Maybe she would have more luck then Anderson.

Tali is many things. Many very awesome things. But a leader, especially a political one, she is not. Doesn't make her any less worthy.

Re: Rael. Nah, he wouldn't seriously consider doing any bodily harm concerning Tali/Shep. But scatching remarks that hit home, yes. However, I don't think he would ever manage to drive a real wedge between Tali and Shep. She may be a good quarian, but she also knows how to recognize BS when she sees it. Things might be tense, but I'm sure a good, serious talk with Shep would set things straight.

Well, even this is not a binary switch:  we do know that if Shep specifically endangers the quarian race (i.e. the Tali/Legion conflict) that she'll tell him to go get bent.  However, I don't know that Tali really believes she herself is of prime importance to the survival of the Flotilla.  If she really felt that way, she wouldn't have gotten things started with Shepard in the first place, since it's theoretically life-threatening.

I have to disagree with you on that.

But that said, I would have love to have a conversation in the game where Shepard and Tali are in a relationship and Tali intoduces her dad to Shepard.  And Shep and Rael would have a nice long talk. :)

Too bad that Shep's parents are killed off in almost all backgrounds, and Tali's are dead. It'd be nice to see both sides' reactions to their relationship.

I bet Bioware would make out like a bandit if they created a LotSB type DLC that included a Tali face reveal.  It will be raining money over their offices in Canada.
