Ash is gonna ****slap his ass so bad when she finds out I dumped her for a Quarian

She better not!

Since the inception of the Migrant Fleet, Cerberus has been the only group to ever infiltrated it, board a ship, and kill civilians. The flotilla had never seen such a deeply intimate and personal attack.

The quarians probably have a bigger hatred of Cerberus than any other race in the galaxy.

And yet, Tali still trusted Shepard enough to jump into a Cerberus vessel, with a Cerberus crew, purely because Shepard asked her to.

Basically, Tali proved herself as a friend to Shepard when he needed it the most. Ashley didn't.

Indeed. Tali is one of the few people who will stand by Shepard regardless of their own opinion. And hello Sergio.

Thanks, it's nice to be here! I love the name of this thread. "Tali'Zorah Thread." Simple, straight to the point, and efficient.

My webhost for the sergio-a.com domain I use to host most of my Tali images and GIFs is complaining that my card on record didn't go through (since I cancelled that bank account).

I wonder if I should just pay the hundred bucks for another year of hosting + domain name registration and keep hosting that stuff.

Good to see you, Sergio. Though let's not resort to bashing other characters to voice our love for Tali, she's got enough positive features as is.

But I'd have to agree with the general outline, the amount of trust Tali puts into Shepard is amazing, even when you don't romance her. Shepard's got a loooooong way to go before (s)he could repay her for that.

Up to you. I know a few people still use it for images and I don't have all the Tali gifs.

Hey, I didn't say anything negative about Ashley. I just made my case that she can't be upset with Shepard if he chooses Tali over her. Tali was there for him at a very strange and difficult time in his life. :P

Look how depressed Shepard looks after that meeting!

Don't worry Shep, just turn around and hug that cute quarian behind you, she'll make you feel better. <3

Looks like Tali missed the paragon interrupt there to hug Shepard.

What's really cool about this screenshot is how despite her visor you know Tali's eyes are fixated on Shepard; proving her words that she is always watching Shepard.

My prime concern with the impending spat between romanced Virmire Survivor and ME2 LI is that Bioware will consider it "cheating" no matter what, not giving an out to those of us who saw Virmire Survivor's back-turn as an irreconcilable slight.

I really don't think that would happen . I'm pretty sure in ME3, you'll just be confronted with a choice between one of the two.

I'm also not worried about that confrontation, either. I can't imagine it being very punishing. Bioware wanted you to be in a relationship in ME1, and they wanted you to be in a relationship in ME2 (hell, ME2 had twice as many romance options as ME1 did, and they were generally deeper!).

I don't think they'll punish the player for following their design choices.

I'm sure there will be a choice, but I'm concerned that there will be no way to give reasoning behind it in the event of dumping Virmire Survivor, no way to say "I needed you and you turned your back on me."

Besides exactly that. I won't have to deal with this, cause my main shep wanted Tali but couldn't have her, so he waited and bided his time and look what happened! lol.

Bioware will make you have to decide, IF Ashley/Kaidan comes around for ME3. I think it's pretty obvious that, whether you romanced them or not, they couldn't put aside the same hate I had for Cerberus to handle the Reapers, something the Virmire survivor seems to have forgotten.

Better off with Tali, I say. Ashley was one of my team and she turns on me, betrays what I worked for, and just goes on her merry way up the Alliance ladder. Tali, like so many of you have stated, puts the utmost trust in you, despite the wicked deeds of Cerberus that transpired before. It's obvious that she feels for Shepard, no matter what he's doing and how much Tali loves him, even after 2 years. Even Fem Shep, who she probably has the utmost respect for.

Tali is so loyal that her loyalty mission just boosts how much she likes you x4

Yeah, Tali is all over you in both her recruitment and her loyalty mission.

On Haestrom:
-Remembers Shepard's use of a mining laser.
-"I wish Shepard were here"
-"It's good to hear your voice"
-"I wish I had joined you back on Freedom's Progress"

Then on/after her Loyalty mission:
-"I got better, Shepard, I got you"
-"I've never had anyone speak like that on my behalf"
-"You were the only one there for me, the only cover I had against that storm"
-"It's fun watching you shout"

She's seriously like the only character that loves Shepard before a romance occurs, and sometimes it even seems like she's the only one who actually remembers everything you did during ME1. :P

Yeah it's like everyone else from ME1 (Besides Garrus) just went on their merry way after you got ROFLstomped. Tali's got that history, and that way of acting towards you, that it actually feels like she cares. All the other romances happen on your own accord, Tali shows interest in you from step 1.

Feels good, to say the least :D

Thinking about Tali's loyalty mission. The conversation you have with her at that console-thing("most of the data is corrupted, but there are a few bits"), if you go along with paragon dialogue choices, she begins ranting about not having a planet to go back to and quarian's immune systems and how Shepard doesn't understand what it's like.

Christ, I felt like a dick after that.

I know how you feel. I'm not too thrilled for that point when I get around to it again.

At that point, Paragon is telling her what she needs to hear, while Renegade is telling her what she wants to hear.

I'm very, very torn at which path to take.

Funny how I feel like a dick for being a paragon, but not when I'm renegade(at least for that part, any other Tali moments, I'm always paragon, bro).

The alarei is the only place I ever choose anything other than paragon with Tali. Though it doesn't really matter which option you pick, Shepard still fails.

And yet, Tali still trusted Shepard enough to jump into a Cerberus vessel, with a Cerberus crew, purely because Shepard asked her to.

Basically, Tali proved herself as a friend to Shepard when he needed it the most. Ashley didn't.

Being a good friend means never ever critisizing them, huh? Ashley and Kaidan had good reason not to jump on the Shepard bandwagon this time. That Tali and Garrus are willing to throw it all away, Tali especially, is in some ways a fault.

I disagree. Paragon is preaching and Renegade is reminding her why her father did what he did.

Ashley and Kaiden aren't bad characters, they're just victims of bad writing.

Ashley's/Kaidan's writing isn't that much better.

Only victims of bad writing in ME2 Posted Image Horizon could have been something good, i'm glad Ash/Kaidan didn't agree with Shepard, but Bioware realy made a mess of it all, it should have been better, why does Shepard only say ''its been to long''? Biowares writing on Horizon was so horrendous it made poor Ashley go cross eyed Posted Image

In ME1, the writing for Ash and Kaidan was superb though, hopefully they will bring back that magic in ME3, and hopefully dlc.

Starting to move off topic guys. Try to stay a bit better. Tali have proven where her allegiance lies unless Shepard does something really stupid.
