I have headphones and I've never heard any difference. I think you're imagining things.

I don't know if it is something in the air, but admiralty has been brought up more in the past week than it has in the past four months. To be an admiral you have to have had extensive military experience and more importantly: be a decent leader. Tali can give mechanical orders and knows how to survive, but she can't command a squad, let alone an entire people. Also not sure where you get the geth 'ruining' the planet. They are restoring it to pre-war status.James_Shepherd wrote...
I think in ME3, tali is going to invent something to help the quarians take back their homeworld. and shepherd is either asked or basicly forced into (if you romanced tali) helping her. There will be thousands of geth so it would be cool if Bioware made an awesome tear through geth mission with it. But even after they get their planet back, most of the quarians would stay with the migrant fleet because the geth have basicly ruined most of the planet and a huge fleet is always handy anyways.

i just thot billions of metal feet (not to metion the colossuses) stomping on the planet for hundreds upon hundreds of years should ruin it. and i had tali run fire squad 2 on the final mission of ME2, and she died

I took her to the Overlord mission Post-Suicide, and I realized at that moment, Wrex had nothing on Tali anymore. For the first time, it made sense as to why this squishy Quarian dressed in lace and leather had a Shotgun.

I always saw it as the geth were fixing the place up,
since the war Tali and the other quarians that mention it make it sound pretty bad if they had to leave the planet.
I hope she says a squadmate in ME3, I just don't see her on the admiralty board.

And I'm glad none of you saw the image that was originally in my top-page post... I'll spare you the details but it was a image of two male zombie killers from a non Bioware game making out...
last time I trust google for an image url.

Most of the geth are actually in space stations, and the ones that are actually on the planet itself are "cleaning" it.

I think that's the biggest indicator that situation will be able to be solved peacefully. The quarians want something that the geth don't even use, and acquiring it would forge peace between them. Seems to me like all that's needed is a little diplomacy.

Naturally Shepard would have to do it. Despite the quarians being as political as they are, you have Those who would take to little, those who would rather take by force, and those who want to manipulate the geth.sergio71785 wrote...
Yeah, the geth don't actually use the planet at all. They don't live on it, and they don't even get their resources from it--they mine asteroids.

Besides, come on. It's Bioware. We are going to end up doing this with Tali and Legion at our sides with a room full of Quarians and Geth.
Edit: Some people just blow this out of the water saying There HAS to be a war or something. That'd be rediculous, no one would gain.

Well, here's the thing: none of the quarians know that the geth are open to peace. In fact, no one in the entire galaxy does, except Shepard. In the last 300 years, the geth haven't communicated with other races, and have attacked anyone who has entered their space. So it makes sense that the quarians believe that war is the only way to get their home back.
The politics going on with the quarians isn't so much just war vs peace, it's "war + homeworld" vs "peace + forgetting homeworld, colonizing new planet."
If the quarians learn that they can get their homeworld back without having to go to war, you bet that 99% of them will be all for that. They just don't know it's an option (yet).

It's not that simple, Qarians have been telling their children that Geth are Devils and would you ever trust a Devil?sergio71785 wrote...

Well, that will be the most difficult thing--getting the quarians to trust the geth. I can definitely see them being afraid that the geth would ambush them or something.
That's probably where Shepard will come in, he'll have to go on some series of missions to acquire something or whatever, to prove to the quarians that the geth can be trusted.
He'll probably have something similar to do for the geth as well.

Don't doubt Shepard; A peace is possible, it's just going to span for quite a bit of the game though.CptSkull wrote...
I don't think Shepard can put peace between the Quarians and Geth, but I do think he make them put aside their differences to combat the Reapers.

You sure? I just watched the scene twice with Tali there and no one who actually says her name till Tali does at the end, unless Lia' tells you when Tali's not around, which still doesn't answer the question as to how Tali knows her name.Runescapeguy9 wrote...

i think the way they will play it off is using Legion and Tali as diplomats of sorts (if you play me3 without playin me2 save file) you might have to fight the geth because if you remember legions loyalty mission. he takes out thousands of geth. so maybe some like super computer or main hub burried in a large space station. Tali would have to do some amazing tech stuff (which would be no problem for her) and either paragon- reprogram the geth and take away their AI or renegade- Destroy all their memory cores with an overload. you wouldnt lose legion because he isnt connected with the geth on their homeworld.
