Ah yes "only idiots can be councillors" the unstated rule that any councillor representing the Asari, Turians, or Salarians must be stupid, we have confirmed that claim.

Good to see that spread from the CZ thread... or not...

But yeah, I didn't like how that decision played out in ME1. If you concentrated on soverign soverin the reaper, i compleately understand the "Nothing else matters" being said. But when it is said for saving the ascension, it just didn't feel right for me.

I would have prefered to say "Move in now to assist the ascension, but when the Citadel arms open you break off immediately and unleash hell on the reaper."

My pitiful attempt to bring this on topic: What do you think Tali would have done? She has opinions the support both decisions.

Edit: ToP, couldn't find anything nessisarily new on my harddrive and I am NOT trusting google again...

I believe that ME2 Tali would have let the council burn. It's the only logical course. Neither you, nor Tali, knows if you can take down sovereign. You need as many ships as possible to do it.

I say that Tali would have let The Coucil burn too.

I think Tali would have wanted to concentrate on Sovereign.

She's fairly 'paragon,' but I can't imagine she really sees those three councilors as particularly important, and it really is the more logical choice to ignore them.

Losing the councilors would only result in some political instability. Not focusing on Sovereign, however, could potentially cause all advanced organic life to be destroyed.

I don't think its "burn" as much as "die painfully in a massive space explosion"

The only differenece I saw from The Human Council is they didn't want to see Shepard and a Turian who ran a gun shop didn't like Shepard.

Tali says that quarians are highly political and social, she probably wouldn't want to make things worse by making tension between the council races and the humans. Besides, there's a more positive opinion of humans as a whole, yet nothing about Quarians, despite the vital assisstance Tali gave in ME1.

That made me very sad.

I guess the council couldn't take the heat.

sorry, had to.

I can see almost any character letting the council die really, Tali included.
Soverign seemed like the hardcore threat. and keeping all the ships for beating him made sense.

The best part of the end of ME1 was that you can save the council, defeat Soverign, and survive the debris all at the same time.

You can have your cake, and eat it too, and smash half of it into Udina's face.

Yeah, it's too bad you don't see any team mates recognized for their assistance in the battle of the citadel.

Realistically, I imagine Tali's name showed up ocassionally on some news articles, as being part of the team with Shepard who stopped Saren.

Hell, she probably has her own extranet-wikipedia article. :P

I'd like to hear the galatic news saying that Shepard has a gf and they desprately try to find out who.

In the end you shoot Conrad Verner for trying to be more like you by taking your Tali.

Sweet Justice.

Conrad wouldn't try anything with Tali.

Instead, he went after the Valley Girl Quarian on Illium. He's the human she was talking about.

The first time I played Mass Effect 2, I had no idea Tali was going to be a LI. At the time, I've already romanced Ashley in ME1 and she rejected me on Horizon. I was hoping I'd patch things up with her in ME3.

But than, not long after I recruited Tali, Kelly Chambers told me that she had a thing for me. I was kind of surprised, and rather intrigued. So I did talk with her a few times, and it was clear that she was interested in me. However I was a bit hesitant to go anywhere with that considering Ashley was my LI from ME1. However, after the loyalty mission, and after Tali told me what would happen if we were to enter a relationship, I was torn. I had to think really hard about what I should do.

Eventually though, I did make a choice. I decided to move on from Ashley and start off fresh with Tali. And I don't have any regrets. Although I was a little peeved that Bioware didn't show me Tali's face in the Romance scene.

Conrad's building a team, just like Shepard's

So far he's got the imperfect krogan, the valley girl quarian, a damaged security mech (fixed with imitation N7 armor), the volus biotic god, thane's son Kolyat, and some others.

They fly around in a ship that also has stealth capabilities (it's painted black).

I didn't know Tali would be an LI either in ME2.

However, when I found out she was, it wasn't a hard choice in the slightest. It was basically like:

Kelly: My female intuition says she wants to be more than just frien--

Shepard: Get the hell out of my way, woman! *Runs to the elevator*

Man, you're letting out all my secrets! Now I have to find Shepard and ask if I can borrow some real tech. Maybe the quarian would help me out?

You're not cheating on someone if you have been dead for two years.

Anyway i also didnt know Tali was romance-able. i was fully convinced that the alien romance option was Samara.

then the Kelly conversation happened.

me: Oh S***! REALLY?!

Left Liara and never looked back.

I wanted to romance Tali so much in Mass Effect 1, heartbroken when I couldnt. Didn't romance anyone in ME1, then I DIED, then I come back, then I see Tali and my first thought was "Sweet, I'm looking foward to this".
My friend bought ME2 before I did, so he ruined suprise for me. Still was just as excited.
