Garrus doesn't do flashbacks cause that part of his memory was used to cushion the *ss-whuping to his face.

Tali would be talking about when you bring her to the Presidium, and it isn't the FIRST time, but it's close enough. Sweet moment as it is :)

Well Garrus does reminisce with Tali about their Elevator conversations. Tali reminds Garrus she is armed ... with a shotgun.

I bet Tali would get it - Roy Batty was a Geth in human form - sort of. The Quarians could have learn something from Blade Runner. Program all synethics with a finite life span of 4 years.

Not sure how quarians would take Blade Runner.  Same with much of the machine-enemy ouvre.  I mean, some, it's obvious, like Terminator (machines bad!) but Blade Runner is a little more nuanced.

Tali's response about having a shotgun is cute because it's a double entendre.

On the one hand, it's a warning that he shouldn't bring up the elevators. But on the other, she's actually responding to his request, by saying that the shotgun is her 'immune system'

:)

I've always felt that Tali would love Terminator (the first one, maybe not the second one so much).

It's a lovely tale of star-crossed lovers, fighting against a killer robot so as to be able to resist a machine uprising. That'll totally be up her alley.

I think I need a refresher of the content of the elevator chats

Garrus: So what are we going to do for movie night?
Shepard: It's a double-feature of The Matrix followed by Terminator. Tali's gonna love it. Tomorrow were going to follow it up with Colossus: The Forbin Project and War Games.

The only thing that tried to turn me away in that sentence was War Games

Shepard: That sounds nice, Tali, but we don't have a vid display.

Tali: Well, I thought we could place an omni-tool on your table and use that. We could... you know, sit on the couch, um... together...

Shepard: She would. She's... a good pouncer.

A question for all you guys: Did Shepard really "rescue" Tali from Fist's men? It seemed like she had the situation well in hand. She probably would have just thrown a grenade and ran off.

Shepard: I've... seen things, you people wouldn't believe. Geth ships on fire, off the edge of the Perseus Veil. I've watched drive cores glitter in the dark, near the Tannhauser Mass Relay. All those... moments, will be lost in time, like... tears, in rain...

Tali: Huh? :?

Interesting -- I was just thinking about what Tali would think of Blade Runner earlier this week.  The four year life span is not what they need to learn... the key idea from Blade Runner the quarians need to grasp is:

"Quite an experience, to live in fear. That's what it is to be a slave."

The quarians are the social embodiment of Deckard, hanging by their fingers from a slick ledge, with the geth looking down at them. The question is whether or not Roy Batty will reach out to him when he falls.

Realistically, I'd probably say yes.

She was doing a great job defending herself, of course, but it was still three against one. And despite the training she received + her natural talent, she was probably less experienced in actual combat than the turian + his salarian thugs.

I don't think throwing another grenade would grant enough confusion for her to be able to make it out of there. The first time it was just enough for her to jump for cover.

Indeed, i remember thinking the first time i saw the scene. "...this ninja assassin cyborg lady doesnt even need my help."

Well, she did have a pistol on her too. Given, what she does with it later, I think she would have given them a run for their money. Personal bias aside though, I do remember that Turian was fairly tough.

On a side note: Tali is one of the few squadmates who helps you fight the bad guys when you meet her and doesn't just watch.

Yeah, she definitely didn't turn out to be the damsel in distress I was expecting.

Worth noting.  Once I realized Liara was cowering on the ground when she could have slapped that krogan's butt with a singularity on Therum, I was all :pinched:<_<

And as an aside, I was happy to hear Tali say a line I hadn't heard on my first PT...on Tuchanka, she equates Grunt's Rite of Passage to something like a quarian Pilgrimage.  I'm hearing a bunch of new lines tonight! :wizard:

Remember to take her on Mordins loyalty mission. Her responce to Shepards krogan pep talk is great.

Shepard chose the right words for a krogan, but not with a quarian in the background...

I think Volus with a bellyache would be better.

Will do! :)
Although, I have to say I would have been a lot more impressed with BW if they had had Wrex say something--anything--if you'd brought Tali or Garrus with you to talk to him.  For crying out loud, he has to have something to say about that.  It was slightly awkward standing there and hearing no recognition.  "I'm standing right here!!" =]

Yeah, there's an unfortunate lack of interaction between your old squadmates.

Well, at least Ashley comments on Tali's existence, unlike Wrex or Liara!
