That would be quite emotional scene to watch.

But I would definitely want to see Tali's old room.

It's debatable what sort of emotional attachment she'd have to an old cubicle.  One that she only spent a couple years in anyway.  A couple of probably less-happy years at that.

Home is more where the heart is.  Or, at least that's what my Shep tried to say.

Your Shep is right. Normandy is Tali's home for now (untill we reclaim Rannoch Posted Image).

This is no time to be touching her boobs, Shepard.

--

And yeah, I don't think Tali would be particularly attached to her Neema cubicle. Her Rayya cubicle would likely be something she'd prefer to see; where she grew up, where her mom lived, etc.

Hell, maybe her dad still lives (well, not anymore :/ ) on that cubicle on the Rayya?

You are correct. Her familys old cubicle on the Rayya would be better. And it would be nice to have Tali take Shepard around the Ship, showing him different places from her childhood and youth. Posted Image

I really wonder how much she lived in one place as a child. From the codex it sounds like kids move around a certain amount: creches, school-ships, etc. And if she was dragged around by her father, she was probably all over the Flotilla.

I mean, her "month ago I was on fixing engines etc." dialogue in ME suggests that her activities weren't just limited to the Rayya pre-pilgrimage. Then again, since Captain Kar'Danna is more than happy to claim she's a product of his fine ship (if she's not exiled) maybe the Rayya really was home. Or maybe just her having the ship in her name entitles him to do that in quarian culture.

I don't think she was dragged around much by her father (at least as a kid, anyway). From her dialog in ME1, it really sounded like her father wasn't around all that much during her youth. It seemed like her free time was spent with her mother.

In ME2, too, when Raan mentions Tali's youth, Shepard says something along the lines of "I'm not hearing much about Tali's father in all this" and Raan defends him by saying that Rael was often busy with Fleet related things.

Edit: I got a screenshot of her "a month ago" line. "A month ago, I was patching a makeshift fuel line into a converted tug ship in the flotilla."

Hmm, they need tug ships? I guess for when a larger ship's drive core breaks down, or they find a trashed ship they intend to repair?

Encapsulating large amounts of stuff in a real ship might not be the most efficient use of ships that could otherwise be containing quarians. Like if you've got a comet or something you're breaking down, it might be better to just drag it. Similarly, a giant tank of fuel or whatever wouldn't need its own engines. You could make a cheap container barge instead and just have another ship (a tug) pull it along.

Yeah, large storage ships make sense.

Big container ships without engines (or even lifesupport systems) would be a good way to store their resources and whatnot.

So I had this idea for a Tali + Shepard video. The oldie song "He's a rebel", to various clips of Renegade Shepard actions (and of course, clips of him being all paragon to Tali mixed in).

I think it would work for two reasons: The video content would match the lyrics + theme of the song really well, and because of the ironic contrast of depicting violence with upbeat music.

Only problem is I don't think most of the people interested in ME would appreciate an oldies song video. :P And I've never been able to bring myself to play renegade Shepard.

But would it exceed the glory already created in this video?

Hah, I was so proud of how that video came out. It'll never be as popular or well liked as the Don't Fear the Reaper one, but I still consider it vastly superior.

It tells a lovely tale of Shepard and Tali meeting, getting close to each other, and eventually bringing down Saren. Then there's the pain of Shepard's death, followed by his awakening and their reunion on Freedom's Progress. Then they face the problem with Tali's trial, and Tali realizes how much Shepard means to her.

Very similar to what happened in-game, of course, but the vid implies a relationship during ME1, no Haestrom, and the romance scene after the trial.

Question here. You guys often talk about how she matured or developed in the two years or so Sheperd took a nap. How? It seems like I've missed something between the two games.

In part it's the voice.  She's higher-pitched/younger sounding in ME1.  Similarly, the outfit:  the faux skirt thing and the gathered hood presents a more womanly rather than girlish look.

However, more substantially, it's the outlook:

Compare her comments about the Citadel in ME1 (I love this place, it's so exciting!) to Ilium in ME2 (they don't even let the Migrant Fleet get close).  Similarly, she has nothing bad to say about the Flotilla in ME1, but plenty of cynicism about it in ME2.  Think about her remarks about what use the data collect on Haestrom is versus the lives lost there.  Or her somewhat jaded remark about how the pilgrimage made her unsatisfied RE: life on the Flotilla.

Kind of related: I was hoping that after Tali's loyalty mission, If you succeeded that the migrant fleet would be come a 'Hub-World' where I could visit regularly and but stuff, maybe even start a gentlemenly conversation with ol' Quibby.

At least the quarians are less likely to have something against you.

Yeah, this sums it up perfectly.

"Damn the pilgrimage! Without it I might never have known what we lost when we lost our homeworld." You never would have heard her say things like this in ME1.

It really makes sense that the Pilgrimage would stir up some different feelings and thoughts for Tali. With all the violence, racism, injustice, that could easily change someone. Not to mention the exposure to new concepts and ideals. Her more mature attitude in ME2 reflects what I would expect.

Not to mention what she has gone through with Shepard and how she has felt about him. Especially in contrast with her father, Xen, Koris, and others.

While I definitely find her ME2 suit far nicer, this is probably one of my favorite screenshots of her.

ME2 suit is better made/more personalized for her, but this picture of her 1st suit is pretty good, I concur.

I would think help saving the universe would do alot for a person's self-confidence.

I think that in Tali's case the pilgrimage backfired on her. I suspect unlike many Quarians, Tali fell into the perfect situation where everyone appreciated and accepted her despite the fact she is a Quarian. Look at all the other Quarians you meet in the game all them are floundering on their pilgrimages and need help. This is probably the typical scenario for most Quarians. It's easy to see how they adopt an us vs the universe mentality. Tali lucked out and fortunately for her she had something of value for Shepard to retain her abilities.

I stumbled across this on the Utubes. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=89hwnIXRObI

The lyrics of the song relate nicely to Tali's storyline.

Tali's first suit wasn't very high on my 'oooh I like' list. It was ok. Just didn't ring well with me. Her update suit though.... Call me a bell.

Tali is lucky, just as Shepard is as lucky to have her.

Without Tali, there isn't any information on Saren, no brilliant Techie, no bright point of the ME1 squad.

And that's if you DONT view her romantically. But with all this, Tali is extremely lucky beyond all belief to have met Shepard.
