It would be a pure thing of curiosity at best, and a crime against life at worst.

I can promise you it would be a sterile being as is the case with all chimera's, so no positive traits to add to either race, and who would you find to fund the research anyways? Let alone test subjects, which would be needed.

My Shepard is pure engineer, but Tali would still beat him ALWAYS in hacking. Engineer Shep is like half as good as Tali plus being half as good as Mordin.

I went Infiltraitor.

I'm happy to leave the tech stuff mostly too Tali, she earned her permenant spot on the team with her awesome Drones (lovely buggers when you a sniping) and being by far the most agreeable female character.

She has a shotgun too. And uses it rather well.

Tali plus engineer Shep plus Legion equals drone army, but Tali's drone is the best because it has a name. I never get tired of hearing her deploy her drone.

And all her quotes for it are BG2 refrences. The GO FOR THE OPTICS line actually caused me to die on account of laughing when I heard it.

Incidently I have a theory in progress that the Reapers will be defeated by the return of the Miniature Giant Space Hamster, however, that is for another thread.

If Tali could bring one quarian with her on Normandy, who would it be?

Kal, and I would agree

I'm not Tali, so heck if I know.

However, given the option, I'd actually jump at the chance to have a small Quarian team on my ship for enginering and electronic warfare + countermeasures.

My guess, however, would be that guy you rescue when recruiting her.

You did rescue him, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?

EDIT:  Yes, Kal.  I am terrible with names.  Always have been.  Don't know why.  Funny thing, I actually tend to speak like Mordin, type sentinces like him too.  Should stop now, while I'm ahead.

I did too. Anything hoping to get a shot at me died before entering visual distance.
I always thought that Infiltrator Shep could hold his own with tech and could learn tech quickly enough, but when required to do the extreme, like, program a combat drone, he could if he really wanted but it would take too much time and wouldn't be as good at Tali or Legions.

I rescued Veetor but would want Kal too, for two reasons. 1: He is already used to working with Tali and I'm sure he wouldn't try to become romanticly invloved with her. 2: I've always wanted two quarians on a ground mission, I dont think Veetor could handle combat or at least the type of combat Shepard and Tali sees.

I assume that languages/typing systems used in the ME universe throughout the various races are fairly comparable in efficiency.

Really? The Krogan? Do the Rachni even have a written language?

sergio71785 wrote...

They probably are!

Language is
something that gets created and improved over thousands of years. By
the time any species gets to the technological point of being able to
traverse the stars, their language system is probably about as efficient
as it can be. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

For my refutation I submit the japanese language. Two alphabets plus Kanji a giant collection of pictograms taken from the chinese that have different meanings or pronunciations within japan and also can retain the original chinese meaning/pronunciation. I think you needed to know 6000 to be functional.
I say I think because once I found that out I settled on just being able to find a bathroom on my own.
toire wa doko desu ka?
I can also ask for a drink but pointing and smacking you lips works as well.

...I forgot to mention you need to understand the western alphabet too.

Um, just for the record, the Hanar converse using light. Their language may be efficient but it is hardly an easy thing to reproduce for conversation. ME translation devices in realtime are a joke. They just can't work so... mass effect fields correct all inconsistencies.

I'd most definitely have to go with Kal as well. I rescued him and he seemed to be pretty good at doing what he did best: protecting Tali.

I don't think they even need a written language.
Seems to me rachni learn things through sharing within their collective.
The queens knows certain things, and then she passes on the information through her 'song' to her children, and might learn new things back from them in return.. and the queen likely passes on her memories to her heir the same way, in the form of some sort of imprint as they are an egg..

In a way, I think that the Geth are similar to Rachni.

I know they can't have livestock on the flotilla, but Tali isn't on the Migrant Fleet so would she eat meat?

The quarians do buy meat. It just has to be prepared in a special way.

Could Tali handle a M-300a Claymore? Or would she hurt herself?

If a 'squishy' asari can handle it, Tali can for sure. I would rather Shep teach Tali how to handle a Sniper Rifle though, like that fanart posted a few pages back. Tali looks awesome with one. Geth Shotgun suits her better though, her being an expert at taking down enemies' kinetic barriers.

Seeing Tali and Legion wreak havoc with Widows would be glorious.

while they might not eat it as much, i wouldn't say that quarians would all be vegetarians.
my bet is Tali just wouldn't eat meat alot, considering how much of a problem having livestock would be for the flotilla
... or the SR2. Posted Image

Indeed, but a shotgun for her compliments my play style: Shep=Mattock; Tali=M-300a; Legion=Widow.

All three have drones and different weapons, so even on insanity team breezes through.

Not sure on that, good chance she might hurt herself in my opinion. I think the Geth Shotgun fits her better.
