Let's face it, the only real malady that Tali or any quarian has is BioWareitis. It's a disease of the poorly created alien species. The idea is interesting but unresolvable. There is not enough money to be made in correcting BioWareitis for any pharmaceutical company to begin testing.

They are opposite, they do not mix. Shepard and Tali found a way around it, be happy.

I just really want Tali not to look pretty or attractive at all. It would be great to make her not too visibly offensive like Vorcha but definitely not a vixen. I just think it will be a good twist because every other chick on your team is attractive. Also you it would be a good Paragon Shep decision to either stay with her or leave her because of her appearance.  I do like Tali as a ME character but i am tired of you some how finding the best looking of each race to be your squadmate.

I don't know that that's true-- People only become good looking once you get to know them. Zaeed; Jacob; Grunt; Garrus; Thane; Mordin; Legion: Of that bunch, they're good looking, but you can't say that any one of them is implausibly perfect. I mean, you could, but that would be motivated by personal feelings rather than objective consideration of their morphological symmetries.

And Kasumi; Miranda; Jack; Tali'Zorah; and Samara-- all beautiful, but none overbearingly so. Even Miranda, a unique quirk of genetic engineering, who may have had more time put into her construction than even the six-million-credit man himself, is not so perfect that she can't be easily brought down to the level of mere mortals by her intense personal issues.

That's what you mean by unrealistic beauty, isn't it? Beauty that blinds observers to all other faults? Because no one possesses that.

I want her to be an alien, a beautiful alien, not too out there and yet not just a human with a wrinkled forehead. If the ears are odd then the lips could be a little different as well. Do they even have a chin like a human?

Well, they've got a mouth... One assumes. No, that's a stupid qualification to make. Even aliens are at least protostomes. And more than that, one assumes that they're gnathostomes, because, well, the ability to grip food tightly and slice it is a real evolutionary advantage over... not having that ability. So they've got jaws. Which are necessarily in some slight proportion to the rest of their skulls, which themselves are known to have geometric similarities to human skulls.

Ergo, yeah, they almost certainly have chins like humans.

Scientifically speaking it would seem that evolutionary trends seem to be similar throughout the species of Mass Effect. Logically this does make sense since the same evolutionary advantages would be almost identical, with small discrepancies only surfacing due to differences in environmental conditions and the like. We can see how the Asari ar- ehem. How the blue humans are remarkably human-like. However, the Turians look more like lizards or something. However, they still developed (as the above poster said) jaws, and hands and fingers and opposable thumbs among other things.

So yeah, its a valid prediction that Quarians could look similar. Especially to Turians since their DNA is based on the same protein structure or something.

/scientific rant, back to organic chem work

They could have weak chins, (which is what I'd prefer, though not too weak) or have a feature there. Maybe it'll look like the geth or the turians but immobile.

Until we see it it's up for grabs from the nose down.

The environment suit makes something a simple as a kiss that much more intimate. Stop Complaining.

But didn't Shepard once say that Garrus was always ugly before his face was repaired?  Yeah, got you there.  :P

I just want to point out that only the best could help shepard, so at the very least you're getting a prime example of each race. That doesn't assure that they'd be attractive but it helps.

Jack isn't blatantly ugly, But I personally wouldn't call her attractive, Kasumi same story. Zaeed, definitely not.

Eh, I'd much prefer they reveal Tali/quarians in-game. Yeah, a comic may be 'safer' but it just doesn't feel right to reveal  something so significant outside of the game.

Not that I wouldn't mind some Tali-related comics. Hell, I've never even bought a comic book ( :o ), but I'd share as hell buy a Tali one.

I don't think Tali will ever be revealed in game, personally. The chance to do it was in ME2 and Bioware decided not to. I'm sure that will carry over to ME3, where chances are, Tali won't be a squadmate. (stand by for nerd rage) Or at least she won't if ME3 follows the established formula of not having squadmates who could have been killed in the previous game.

Of course she'll be a squad mate. The fact that people think that ME2 squadmates won't be in ME3 is almost humorous for how wrong it is. Just because they can die doesn't matter--it's no more work than creating a DLC character like Zaeed or Kasumi (less even, since I'm sure ME3 won't have any loyalty missions).

Not only does it make fans happy to have their favorite characters come back (making customers happy is good business!), it's also cheaper and easier for Bioware to reuse the old characters, than go through the trouble of designing, creating, and casting for brand new squad mates.

I'd bet money that the ME2 squad mates (at the absolute least, the characters who are LIs) will be in ME3. But it's not even betting, really--betting implies a chance to lose. This is like saying that the sun will rise tomorrow.

i agree with this.
when i heard ME2 was like a prequel of sorts to ME3,
i was like yus! i get to keep Tali and Garrus!
...and everybody else? Posted Image

although, some Dossiers in LotSB hinted at characters not being Squadmates (like Jacob's offer to rejoin the alliance). so maybe we won't see all of them
i didn't notice anything for Tali though, and since LotSB is a lead'in to ME3,
we get Tali as a squadmate and LI?

I didn't romance Tali with my canon Shep, but I'll be glad if she returns as a squadmate. I just don't think it is likely. Actually I'd love to see all of the original ME3 squadmates return, minus the one that died on Virmire.

I guessing if they do it that way, then the guy who killed all but one squadmates is screwed......he might also have the 2 squadmates that were in ME1 but didn't join you in ME2. So you can have between 3-17 squadmates.

Well, there's no point in loyalty missions if your squad is already loyal to you. Mass Effect 2 was in fact a game where the plot was just to build a squad team. The collectors where just the excuse to do that.

Anyway, I wish they add a Volus team mate in ME3. I would love to have a volus helping me with a huge shotgun or something like that.

Oh. hey, great. :) The Tali topic is back. It really was very disturbing to see Tali fans banned from the official character forums, good to see that the mods saw reason after all.

I never mentioned more loyalty missions,
just talked about Tali's LotSB files compared to Jacob's,
Jacob's has him have a legit reason to leave the crew, to rejoin the alliance with a promo.
Tali is just doing resaerch about human relationships, and unless it's different depending if you romance her or not, i see no reason why she would leave the Normandy, especially if she is exiled.
