Tali don't approve of cruelty to animals.

It's a good thing she never found out how I got that discount at the krogan's store.

It's too bad that isn't how you get it.

You misunderstood what I was trying to say. :P

The joke was that she only saw those two acts of cruelty against the pijacks, and not the whole pijack bombing mini game.

Oh, ok then. I've heard many say that that was how you got the krogan "scientist's" discount but it isn't.

I did not shoot the pyjacks in ME or punch the lone pyjack in ME2 simply because Tali was there.

Though that would change if they tried stealing her immuno booster or threw.... something at her.

I blew the secret and she became loyal to me. It is all in how you do it. Plus, if she is alive, then there is a better chance of the war being stopped. With Tali and Legion, you can have each be a diplomat and with that you have the prevention of a war that would be pointless

Explain just how do you still get her loyal after you explose her father? cause its a great personal Betrayl. Explain this

I don't remember exactly how I did it, but there was persuasion tactics used. I specifically remember using the data. She became loyal, but the data was revealed. It has been almost two years since though.

Two years? the game hasent been out for a whole year yet.
Maybe we are thinking of diffrent things cause . Sorry m8 i just dont belive you can get tali loyal if you reveal the data on the trail. "anyone confirm this?"

I don't think you can, no. Once you screw her over with her dad, loyalty is out the window.

If you reveal the data during the trial, there is no way to regain her loyalty/start the romance. If she's acquitted, you can tell some of the admirals about what you found, but it'll have no effect on her.

From a story POV, her loyalty mission is pretty interesting in that it shows that doing the "right" thing can be wrong. Instead of focusing on taking care of their chief engineer, those Shepard's instead decide they're some sort of alien moral arbiter, and make a huge mess of things as a result.

I knew I did tell about the data. This must have been how, but my memory is still a bit unclear.

That side comes out more in the second game. Like when she threatens the volus on the Citadel.

She never actually threatens him.

She says she wants to
mess with his suit's air filters, but that's not really a threat. And
it's pretty harmless anyway--it's not like she threatens him with
physical violence.

And really, he says some really nasty things. She's to be commended she doesn't just kick him or something. [smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

I didn't say I unnapproved. I wanted to punch him myself. I just said that it was a threat. Maybe it wasn't intended to be one but I took it that way and applaud Tali for it.

Hey there. :)

Unfortunately, we don't have any real information on what happens with quarian marriages. Since we've never heard anyone addressed to as anything other than "nar Something" or "vas Something" it's safe to assume that they don't have a word for "married to"

It's also safe to assume that during a marriage, one of the two will join the clan of the other. Afterall, it kinda doesn't make sense (at least symbolically, anyway) for two mated people to belong to seperate clans. So yeah, I think if Tali and Shep got married, it's possible she'd become Tali'Shepard, since a family name is kinda like a clan name.

PS: Remove the quotes around the img tags of your signature, so that your banner will show.

I agree, and for those of you who said Tali doesn't make a good renegade. On the Feros mission in the first game, when you destroy the geth ship, Tali says, "I hope that ship was full of those geth bastards."

Yes, but the six toes only add to the appeal. The mysterious exotic Tali is an amazing character, and I loved her loyalty mission in a way that it was sad, but I hated that it was sad for her.

Thanks for the clarification.

From a story POV, her loyalty mission is pretty interesting in that it shows that doing the "right" thing can be wrong. Instead of focusing on taking care of their chief engineer, those Shepard's instead decide they're some sort of alien moral arbiter, and make a huge mess of things as a result

True. Doing the 'right' thing messes things up (there's a similar mission in ME1, on the Citadel, where a C-Sec officer or some such asks you to go down to a bar and keep an eye on a certain gang. If you turn them in instead, you'll get slammed with like +14 Renegade points: you were just supposed to observe, not play the moral arbitor of the universe).

Whilst I applaud the existence of such non-lazy choices, the alternative to not telling about her dad was pretty lame, though. "As evidence I present the Normandy" (quoted from memory; don't shoot me). Wha!? A normal Judge would have replied along the lines of "I commend your high regard of Tali, Commander Shepard, but telling us again how you trust her is no evidence at all. Council will please present something we can use in a Court of Law." And then, based on "This and other evidence" Tali is miraculously acquitted! And that's weird, because, in real life, not presenting evidence which can acquit you, when the deck is stacked against you, and you're on trial for treason no less, will simply leave you empty-handed.

So, doing the Paragon thing here actually was the easy way out, as you know it's gonna work out for Tali (because Bioware willed it so). Were I her lawyer in real life, though, I would probably have strongly urged her to use the evidence.
