I never said I didn't want to see her face. Honestly, I would love to see her face. That was not what I was saying though. I was saying that it is not mandatory. I don't care how Tali looks either. I have said this before, but I am drawn to her character as a whole, not appearances. I mean appearances are nice and all, but the personality is what people should really be concerned about. Anyway, I was saying that.even though they hinted at it, they did the same thing with the Master Chief in Halo and that went no where.
I can understand why Bungie doesn't take off Master Chief's helmet. It's the protagonist, aka the player. It's the same reason why Link will never speak in any Zelda game: they want the player to be connected to the protagonist in that way.
But we know that Master Chief is human, and we know what humans look like.
Tali is Quarian... that tells us nothing.
We know that she looks attractive in terms of her body shape. We can decipher a few things about her body and face based on what we hear in game and what Bioware tells us, but there is no firm image of what a Quarian is. How would it benefit Bioware not to show her face in ME3? So we, the player, can imagine what it is? What's the point? The Shepard story is over after ME3.
Bioware has an enormous opportunity. We have no preconceptions of what she looks like to go on. No matter what her face is, it will shock the majority of the playerbase.
To become emotionally attached with a character that has been by your side for 3 games and hundreds of hours of gameplay... and to then rediscover that character at the games finale would be an amazing experience for the player. It's a huge opportunity for Bioware that they shouldn't squander.
In short, it would be epic.
