1. The other squad mate is Liara.
2. The other squad mate is Kaidan that hasn't been persuaded to go "renegade."
3. The other squad mate is Ashley who's been persuaded to go "paragon."
4. The other squad mate is Garrus who's been persuaded to go "paragon."
We could say that "renegade" ME1 characters like Garrus/Ashley/Wrex might tend towards taking renegade decisions, and "paragon" ME1 characters like Kaidan and Liara might tend towards paragon decisions, but Tali was middle of road (which I liked). So discerning what she may have done in Shepard's shoes takes some more analysis - we can't simply really on the angel and devil on your shoulder thing they did. That was more of a mechanic to have two arguments for the player to consider than anything else.
ME2 Tali seems to be supportive of working with the Council, citing that burning bridges with other species isn't the right idea (which is a wise opinion).

It's been in development for at least a year at this point, and they know how incredibly popular Tali has turned out to be.Collider wrote...
I doubt they've cemented the squad mates yet.

That said I'm only mildly "worried" about squad mates returning. I'd be surprised if they didn't.
I doubt we'll be finding out until a few months before release at earliest. If DA2 is any indication, they might be tighter lipped about spoilers and the squad.

And if Tali is not in it, won't even consider playing any demo either.

To me she reminds me of an awkward side of myself, and choosing her romance-plot is like being that security I would look for during my awkward moments. Its like, for once Im not the one stumbling on words or inadequecies, and being able to see it in her and being able to respond to her in the way I hope others would respond to me made Tali so memoriable. Its like being that wierdo geeky, nerdy kid trying to ask the super popular highschool person out, then suddenly have the roles reversed.
Is that true for you as well?

Why would Tali care about the Council? She's a quarian they aren't helping her people any.

A viewpoint I happen to agree with. If they won't give help to those who need it it is time for a change, and she sees it.mrsph wrote...

Not for me Mike, she just seems more open of the characters and has an attitude that I actually liked. Mir is alright but a pain in the butt, up tight, full of herself, when you first meet her, but does soften up quite abit. The problem is the devs well went over the top on character design and to overt with the camera angles. Jack well she just freaks me out, and even worse she looks like one of my relatives, minus the hair and tats. Liara looks also like one of my relatives minus the blue skin and the tendrials, nearly an emotional match as well but then again that was like 6 or so years ago. As for Ash well closed minded mule that won't move forward even with a swift kick in the rear. So that pretty much leaves Tali. Whom does wear her heart on her sleeve, does try to communicate with said player and will make it know what is on her mind, even if it means stammering for abit. Also she isn't overly sexualized like Mir, or Liara. In short I think she just hits closer to home then being a fantisety super model.
Oh nearly forgot she is a techy as well.
Smart girls CAN be sexy huh?

Then again, having the Council's butt saved by a Race that it more or less evicted from the Citadel might open some eyes.

The whole "the aliens are attacking Earth" was practically told to you though out ME2, what I want to see is how The Council reacts to it and how it will affact the other races.Calinstel wrote...
New Trailer. Tired, worn out plot. Not sure even Tali's appeal will be enough to get me to waste my money on another "the aliens are attacking earth" again plot.

And again, I like Tali because she's smart, has a strong sense of morals; yet she can be shy/timid at the same time.

Here's to hoping that Shepard and Tali can help each other retake their respective homeworlds in ME3.

I totally see a sequence with Tali and Shep' watching the earth:
"So ... this is how my ancestors felt..."
"We won't let this happen again, Tali. Not here, or anywhere else."
And I've no doubt that Tali or not the quarians situation will be solved. They've got the biggest fleet in the galaxy, and there's too many foreshadow about the retaking of the homeworld in Tali's loyalty mission.
