Funny as in "amusing" not as in weird.

I still don't see the funny part.

Does Tali have anything unique to say to Ken on Omega? I never have her with me there.

I don't think she does, not sure though. However, I love how she's in for poker once you get the FBA couplings for Kenn and Gabby xD

I liked how Tali always stood up for herself. When Ash referred to her as "the quarian" in ME1 and she said "My name is Tali!" .... that girl has guts! I like that about her.

Kaidan has the same line, but he says it in a more clueless manner than Ash, who does sound kind of derogatory.

But yeah, Tali has no problem sticking up for herself when the situation is unjust.

Sadly, no.  And she has no commentary on Fist if he's still alive, either.

That would have been awesome.

or annoying as she demonstrated with Garrus and pulled the shotgun trick on him.

Garrus learned a very good thing don't mess with Tali'Zorah unless you have a death wish.Image IPB

Um, I guess I can't help you then.  It's just an odd repetition that I find amusing sort of like how Liara and Tali's arcs have some funny similarities.  1) Save girl from geth  2) Help girl get over death of family member who was doing unethical things 3) romance said girl.  It doesn't mean anything per se.  I just though it was interesting and funny.

it would, some dialog uppertunities were missed like in Liara office I did expect at least a greeting to Tali and Garrus if you bought them with you.

Someone always says, "The Quarian" Standing up for herself? No. Being rightfully offended, yes.

I loved Tali in ME1, she had spunk.

Shepard: Hi Fist.
Fist: Who the f- Oh. *flat* Hi, Shepard. *Turns to Tali* And who is this?
*Tali walks over to Fist and reuses Shepard's "knee-Conrad-in-the-crotch animation".*
Tali: *flat* Hi Fist. Pleased to meet you again.
Fist: *hoarse cough* Oh. You. Whatsyourname.
Tali: Tali.
Fist: Right.

All that was necessary.

Anybody else think it is funny that without a couple of quarians (Tali and Veetor) Shep would be stumbling around in the dark in both games?

I'm hoping this trend continues at the begining of ME3 just so Shepard can make a joke about it.

I prefer ironic myself.

Liara's romance did seem a little rushed to me compared to Tali's.

Tali's romance seemed more fine tuned and more like Liara's should have been in my opinion.

Well, except that Shep doesn't have to kill Rael'Zorah.

Well, besides what word is the best...seriously, why so touchy? ....there are indeed some similarities although both ladies couldn't be any more different from each other. Asari are open about their sexuality and show quite a lot skin. Quarians on the other hand are due to their enviro suits limited in a way. They can't just run around and show skin. Everything they do regarding relationships and love has to be considered very carefully. I don't want to downgrade asari at all. But Liara and Tali are completely different from each other, despite the similarities in their romances.

Yea, I don't think you can deduce anything of value from the comparison.  I just thought it was amusing that there were such similarities.  Sort of like how many femshep LIs have dead wifes and estranged sons.  It says more about Bioware than it does about either Tali or Liara.

Seems like kind of a...sensitive thread. I sense there are subjects that Aren't Discussed, at least not if one is polite.

As a rule of thumb, it's best not to bring up the following:
Alternate pairings for Tali
The 3rd Shadow Broker dossier
Children

Some people (myself included) are fine with discussing these things politely but some people can get a bit "touchy" so it's dependent on who's online.

On topic: Outside the "elevator" conversation on the Citadel, does Tali have any dialogue with teammates?

The Suicidal Orders one from Samara's recruitment mission... I think that's about it, aside from actual conversations on the elevator.

I think he means in ME1 and I can't think of anything. She has lots of little snips with Garrus in ME2 though in several places including with the racist volus and on Samara's mission.

And is the third dossier that sensitive? I never got that vibe. I thought the conversation was quite civil.

don't forget the Shepard holo thing on Thanes loyalty mission.

Tali: "That's pretty exstream, Shepard"

Shepard: "Laugh it up, Tali"

also on Mordins loyalty mission if you do the paragon option on the Krogan scot/prisnor, which is pretty funny.

she does....
don't know if that one counts but that's her Poker dialogue with Ken and Gabby

on Tuchanka when visiting Urz if Kasumi is in the squad

with Garrus in the Citadel tower in the first game

and on Tuchanka:
Tuchanka Tali & Mordin

Tuchanka Tali & Grunt

With the return of the banter in LotSB, I have hope for ME3 and the other DLC's. I remember running to the Normandy and then going up and down the C-Sec elevator just to hear all the squad banter combinations. With the crew we got in ME2 the potential things Tali could say would've been amazing

Jane: Thanks for the links, hadn't heard all of those before.
